“Once Heaven seemed a far-off place,
Till Jesus showed His smiling face;
Now it’s begun within my soul,
‘Twill last while endless ages roll.
…Where Jesus is, ’tis Heaven there. – Charles F Butler
You met this attractive girl. As you got to know her, she had a pleasing personality. Before long you’re seeing her face & hearing her laughter in your mind. You wanted to be with her all you could. It didn’t matter if you walked together, worked together, washed dishes together – you were together! Some spiritually-poor-souls have imagined Heaven as “boring.” Not if we love Jesus like (better than) we loved the girlfriend. In Heaven we’ll be together with the One we love so much – it won’t matter what we “do.”

“Legalism – the stunted and spoiled fruit
of a beautiful tree.”

Heaven’s attraction
On the distant horizon it has dimly shone,
Heaven – is it your goal, alone,
Or have you talked to Him via “telephone”
Have you prayed un-uttered words – a groan?
Do you want to see Him face to face,
Who on Mount Calvary hung in your place?
Heaven without Him, is a selfish goal.
Christ is the true attraction of the tempered soul.

Eph 5.11
“And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.”
When you’re a minister of true holiness you’re not in competition with other preachers of true holiness. [[It’s a trick of satan to try to convince you, you are.]] However when you, as an exponent of true holiness, meet “X,” a preacher who denies holiness or who’s spreading false “holiness,” you ARE in competition with him. He’s leading souls from truth – you’re leading souls to truth. [[satan will try to get you to join him in an ecumenical union. Never!]]

“No mental processes can stop the mad race for money.
Man must be born again.”
– William Jennings Bryan, /Bible Enemies/
Let’s say you die next week (someday “next week” will be a grim reality). If an angel queries you just beyond death’s door about wastefulness this week what would be your excuse? Are you wasting twentie$ on entertainment? Are you wasting time on trivia? Are you, worst of all, allowing talents that God gave for His glory, to be wasted on sinful causes or at-the-least silly, cheap pursuits?
