Isa 22.18

“He will surely violently turn and toss thee like a ball into a large country…”

> “Ball” in 1 v. (of 25), in 1 ch. of 66), in 1 Book (of 39 OT) & not in NT. Is ball that rare in your speech?<

As far as some are concerned, the “all important” matter is getting the ball (whatever your ball-game is) from one location to another. Sadly, as far as satan is concerned it’s the matter of keeping you busy in sports another year. Season adds to season. The players change but your addiction carries on – until – the season comes that you die – Lost, because you never got serious about God. Friend, is sport your god?

“…The outcasts from the moving-picture world are the intelligent people. They have no time for the movies because the movies generally have no time for intelligent people.”

For our future good – “Thy Word have I hid in mine heart…” Psa 119.11. Some people memorize: phone numbers, batting averages, birthdays, dietary scenes etc. As a former Pastor & former Associate Professor of Bible, I strongly encourage Scripture memorization. In a worst-case scenario we may not have access to Bibles. Answer? – It’s in our hearts. Or, we could have extremely limited eye sight. Answer? – It’s in our hearts. Even if you’re awake at night, you can use memory to “read” Scripture” without turning on a light.

in the middle

The One who died in the middle, there,

Was crucified our last sin to bear.

Died caked with spittle on His cheek,

Bloody clouts proved He’s strong, not weak.

Died on earth, that we may heaven share.

Rev 12.11

“And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony;

and they loved not their lives unto the death.”

“God so loved…” “God” is a word by which we “know” the most wonderful Being. It’s impossible for any man or all men (their compost mental abilities) to comprehend Who He is – not in time, not in eternity. “Love” is a word we come nearer understanding yet can’t lasso. Love is so big, terrific, strong, so linked to heaven, we can’t grasp it. This is impossible because “God is love” (1Jo 4.16). So, that leaves us with “so,” the 1 of the 3 words we come near to understanding – it’s more “our size.”

It is sold in the West as science but in fact is religion.”

Once America had many villages (“bergs/burgs,” “-villes,” “-fields”). Village after village had a business called “Smith & Son,” or “Brown & Son,” or “Jones & Son” They were small, family started/family owned shops, stores, manufactures offering products or a service to the other families within “x” miles radius. America would be a better place today, if we had more such providers & markets.
