Mar 12.10

“And have ye not read this Scripture; The stone which the builders rejected is become the head of the corner:”

The greatest Being “in the world” (past, now, or next) is an Author. He wrote the Classic of all classics. Have you read it – – – even once?  Have you read a little of it Today?

“Charles H Parman and [William] Seymour, the founders of the Tongues Movement in the U.S., both accused each other of receiving the gift of tongues from the devil.”

– A L Vess, fr his /Bible on Tongues/

Will the thing you “have to have,” (your habit/hobby/hang-up) be in heaven? (Do you honestly expect it to be in hell?) If it’s doubtful that your obsession, passion, your mania is Up there, break away from it now. “I can’t” With the Power of Christ you can. “Frankly, I really don’t want to break from it.” I appreciate your honesty but NOW is the time to leave it – while you’re in your right mind, while you’ve time to repent.

I passed a field the other day,

That in summer’s past

Had always been in hay.

And there I saw it laid open wide

With some gashes that

A plow put in its side.

Brown, yes, reddish brown,

Was the ground,

That the implement of man

Had turned down.

Row after row of little hills,

With valleys and daises,

Thrown in for frills.

Now – the farmer hadn’t planned

To leave those flowers.

As witnesses of nature, brittle towers,

But nature’s not as weak

As may suppose.

And the strongest things

She has she always grows.

Gal 6.15

“For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision, but a new creature.”

Jesus Christ is not interested in *just* making you a good boy. He is definitely not interested in helping you to be a “good ole boy.” Our Lord came, suffered, died, resurrected & ascended to make each of us a New Creation (Gal 6.15). Do not settle for less.

“Moloch and Rephen are planetary divinities, member of the ‘host of heaven’…kaiwan is an Assyrian name for the planet Saturn…”

– F F Bruce, /Book of Acts/

Does your pastor exalt holiness? Does he preach about, lift up, & actually live the holy life?  How many sermons have been entirely devoted to explaining the need for, or provision of, or “glory” of being wholly given to & filled with the Holy Spirit, in the last year? In a year most men will preach (more than once) the themes near their hearts.
