Gen 1.26

“And God said, ‘Let us make man in our image, after our likeness…’”

Is the word “Trinity” in the Bible? No. Is the concept of “Trinity” in the Bible? Yes. This post is the first of several (Lord willing) showing the Three-ness of our Wonderful God.

* TRINITY * (1.) Joh 1.33…He [Father] that sent me to baptize with water, the same said unto me, Upon whom thou shalt see the Spirit descending & remaining on him, the same is He [Son] which baptizeth with the Holy Ghost [3rd Person of Godhead]

“When the world comes in it will want to bring with it its idols.”

Don’t tell me that you see yourself a “literary person” if you’ve not read the classic KJV through – not necessarily in Book-order, not necessarily in a specified time frame – but through. Don’t tell me that you consider yourself an educated person & have not read the entire Bible – the greatest Book ever printed. It is basic to any education.

ANYTHING

Praise God from Whom all blessings flow. *

Praise Him for blue sky,

And a white patch, and green trees below.

Praise Him for black cows in pastures,

And woodlands so grand,

But praise God, most of all, because “He can.”

God can do anything, Oh anything.

His hands; they know how.

He taught the birds to sing,

He showed the eagles how to wing,

He made the robin that struts,

And the animal in its “ruts.”

Our God can do anything. * 1st line is hardest to write & I “stole” this one. L

Luk 16.25

“But Abraham said, Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime receivedst thy good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things: but now he is comforted, and thou art tormented.”

We accept a “set-period” of 9 months in the womb. But some are weeks longer (time past is hard on the-ready-to-deliver-mom). Some are “premature.” Many are a few days short of, or over the proverbial 9. This is “our Womb-Life.” The Bible gives another “set-period.” 70 yrs. Many of us have lived that. Millions never reach it. This is “our World-Life.” As we leave the Womb behind (no memories of it) – will we leave the World behind & in heaven, have no memories of it? Serious question. Hell has memories (Luk 16.25).

“Men often take their imagination for their heart; and they believe they are converted as soon as they think of being converted.”

– Blaise Pascal, /Pensees/

Some sinners seem determined to squeeze all the pleasure they can out of this world & perhaps become desperate as they see their body aging, know the sinful acts in which they reveled are now limited, & death will end all their “earthly pleasure.” What a horrible ending to a sad life. Jesus died to save such!
