Tit 2.4
“That they [aged women] may teach the young women to be sober,
to love their husbands, to love their children”
Preaching – to men – is limited to men (I’ve heard a preacher boy or so, but this, as it should be, is rare).
Pastoral preaching is limited to mature (not a “novice” 1Ti 3.6), men (1Co 14.34-5 & 1Ti 2.12).
Praying is not limited – all may pray: Men/women, young men/young women, boys/girls. Wonderful!

“The greater the humility, the greater the boldness, if mixed with faith.”
– Samuel Brengle
Salesmen make a living convincing you that you “need” a certain product (whether you do or not) & even if they personally do not use it. There are also “religious salesmen” (preachers) who make a living off of “their ministry.” (It was not God’s.) Some of these guys have lived “high-on-the-hog” off of the offerings of gullible souls. These preacher/salesmen do not have genuine salvation & give God’s work a bad name.

sing and rejoice
This is a day to sing and rejoice,
To lift up your hands, to lift up your voice,
A Day to again, acknowledge God, King.
Will you then joyfully, royally sing?

“My son, hear the instruction of thy father, and forsake not the law of thy mother:”
Make sure to have a church wedding. Doesn’t have to be the biggest church in town & doesn’t need the costliest gown. Make the reception simple if need be, & the honeymoon paid for, before you take off. A good church is the right place to start. A good church is the right place to continue. You walked into church separately on wedding day. Walk there together hereafter & walk toward heaven together.

When asked “so…you really expect that you will make an impression on the idolatry of the great Chinese empire?” Robert Morris replied, “No sir, I expect God will.”

I like Thanksgiving Day. Enjoy turkey, spuds & gravy, dressing, pumpkin pie (& enjoy left-over turkey as turkey-salad). I like giving thanks everyday. Glad I don’t have to wait till a certain month to be thankful. For what have you thanked God today? Have you learned to be thankful? Develop the habit of saying “Thank You” – to God, to your family, to total strangers.
