1Ch 22.19a +

1Ch 22.19

“Now set your heart and your soul to seek the LORD your God…”

* TRINITY * (3.)

Act 20.28 Take heed therefore unto yourselves & to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God which He [Christ] hath purchased with His own blood.

“You can never judge a man’s experience either by the position [hierarchy] he holds or the esteem in which he is held by others.”

– H A Baldwin, /Holiness & the Human Element/

God made us to physically need sleep. *(This is not anti-physical-sleep.) Some sleep from sheer weariness. Some sleep to avoid “facing” reality. Some have gotten used to a “sleep aids” & must have one to sleep. The devil would weary us with family/church/work problems until we fall asleep spiritually. He doesn’t want us to face the reality of truth, therefore wants us to sleep. And satan will supply “sleep aids” so we become sleepy while the battle rages about us. “Oh, God help me to be & stay spiritually awake.”

WORLDLY

When you enjoy what the world enjoys.

When you drink what the world drinks.

When you go where the world goes.

When you think like the world thinks.

Do all – – – Or only one.

It HAS you, girl / son.

Col 3.2

“Set your affection on things above not on things on the earth”

As awakening sinners move toward God & therefore have an increased awareness of death & hell, they have less interest in what the world calls “entertainment.” As “christians” get sleepier & their fear of death & hell seems to wane, they get more interested in drama, games, plays, ventriloquism, movies, etc. The desire to be amused by this fleeting world is not a good sign.

“What you consider as your best excuse, He considers as your greatest sin.”

– Edward Payson, /Gospel Invitation/

Every driver needs to be aware (even with 2 or 3 mirrors) he has a “blind spot.” Every soul trying to make heaven needs to be aware (even reading God’s Word every day) he has one or more “blind spots.” If I’m following you on the road, I easily see the car that’s in your blind spot (or if you’re following me). Let us have patience with a bro./sis. when we see they have a blind spot. And – bro./sis. – if someone honks a horn, don’t be aggravated. Thank God for the warning.
