Joh 8.44
“Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do.
He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth…”
You had no choice about who your dad was. Some would have chosen such a nice man. Some, sadly had a “dad” who deposited a seed & left. In between there’s a spectrum of “good” & bad dads. Father God can be your Father & you DO have a choice here. In fact, a choice is required – a responding choice. He has chosen you & me. We can, in return, choose Him – or, heaven forbid choose His arch enemy, satan.

“We are now becoming what we shall ever be–lovers of God and the things of God
or haters of God and the things of God.”
– Samuel L. Brengle
We’ve been lead to believe computers (“number crunchers”) are great &, in a sense, they are (I’ve had a PC since ’85). Never, however allow any man-made tool to fool you into thinking it in-the-slightest compares to God. Computers, though they dazzle (speed, storage, screen gizmos) only have what is put into them. How primitive! Mankind is better than that, let alone God, who Created man. God knows every fact about every person in your county, in your country, in your continent. That’s just the start of His knowledge.

YOUR YARD (not mine) J
You want a yard with grass
Where each blade is just like its neighbor?
To make it look so, you dig and spray
And bestow much spring labor.
Mine? Oh, mine is a hodge-podge
Of what volunteers to grow
If it wants in my yard, I let it lodge.
It’s a country-cottage “lawn” I know.
At times a dandelion shines its sunny head
While another grows near-by
Soon they seem to own the patch
But they’ll pass on “bye-n-bye.”
I have what some call a weed
(Watch what you say, Mr Carver may hear)
A plantain pops up his tall head
And another and another one near.
These also pass and every here and there
I see the lovely white blossom in the shade
Of clover in my variegated yard
But your lawn (where blade matches blade)
Is like some much uniform samesh flooring
A monotonous, repetitive turf. How boring. J

Mar 13.24
“But in those days, after that tribulation, the sun shall be darkened, and
the moon shall not give her light.”
Who said it? – The Creator, God
What was said? – The moon is its own light
Where was it said? – Gen 1.16b, Isa 13.10 & 30.26 & 60.19, Eze 32.7, Mat 24.29, Mar 13.24
When did He say it? – Before “oppositions of science falsely so called” (1Ti 6.20) cooked up theories
Why was it said? – Because it is True – eab, 6/15/18
“…His ‘Follow’ meant ‘Do as I would do in every relation of life.’”
– Wilfred Grenfell, MD
If you could’ve chosen your dad would he’ve been smart? Strong? Able to do anything – I mean anything? Would he have been good? A great provider? Would he . . .You CAN chose your heavenly Father. “Smart” is too colloquial a word – God is All Wise. God, the Father is Powerful. The Father above can do AND has done anything / everything (except where He chooses to limit Himself i.e. not remembering our sins). He provides all we need & is GOOD. And He can be your Father God if you’ll believe & obey.
