1Ti 2.1 +

1Ti 2.1

“I exhort therefore that, first of all, supplications, prayers,

intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men;”

“Joseph couldn’t fit the pieces together.

But I’ll tell you what he did do – He trusted God.”

– S D Herron /From the…Herron/

On a practical $ide – the habit of men renting tuxedos & shoes for weddings (IMO) needs to be updated. They’re so expensive, have only a one-time use, & there’s the bother of having to return them in x hrs. Instead let all the men buy quality matching black or charcoal-gray suits. These can be used for yrs. Good black shoes are needed in his wardrobe. What is paid in rental fees will make a good start on a suit & shoes.

P.S. This could be applied at junior/senior banquet times & lessen that expense.

“God could trust Job in His silence.

He wanted to know why, but he still believed God when he didn’t know why.”

– S D Herron /From the…Herron/

  1. E. E.

For centuries paper and ink,

Have been a blessing or have caused a “stink.”

We’ve not failed to use those two,

Because the devil used them too.

Now the blog, email – the “eword”

Are new ways to share God’s Sword

Media has caused a change,

Evangelism has a greater range.

– eab, 2/14/13

Christians have a right to vote (unless the Holy Spirit checks you) but we can’t rely on politics. We have a right to opinions on societal issues: phone calls, letters, signing petitions but we can not make these our hope. We have a right to own unregistered arms but have no right to kill a fellowman. Christians have a right to meet with those of like precious faith but assemblies are to worship the King of kings, not to unseat a present “king” (1Ti 2.1-2, 1Pe 2.13). This world is not our home!

1Jo 1.7

“But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another

& the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.”

“If you shut up the damper of confession,

you will smother the fire of sanctification”

– Orlow Webb, sermon 10/30/85

It is entirely up to God what Light He sheds on your pathway & mine. And, in a sense, it’s entirely up to us if we walk in our God-given Light. Your Light may not necessarily be mine nor my Light your. But our individual Light, Friend, is SUPER serious – walking in Light is the only way to have perfect spiritual freedom now & His precious blessings forever. O Brother, O Sister, I urge us all to WALK in His Light! – eab, 2/14/19

“Piety…is more concerned about deeds than words.”

– Orlow Webb
