The most important story in the world, for every man in the world, is not “playing” at the movie house closest to him nor hyped by local media. It is his life “playing” once, never to be re-run. Others may or may not be glancing but he has One (God) as his audience. Everyman (by virtue of his God-given will) is the director of his story AND the main Actor. No, it won’t rake-in millions of dollars. If he’ll allow God to help him find salvation, & full salvation, it’ll rake-in untold “millions of yrs” in heaven – therefore (for him) the most successful life possible. But if man uses his will ill, refusing God’s help his life will rake-in millions of yrs (beyond number) in damnation – the (for him) most dismal failure of eternity. Act Right.

Is music neutral? Surely you don’t believe that because neither God nor satan (IMO) do. Godly music can bless your soul as you sing to yourself, hum, or whistle around the house, working, or driving.  Ungodly music will take the place of hymns/gospel songs in your personal repertoire if you don’t watch out. Are you, ahem, You paying attention to the music you allow on your radio, on your music list, etc.? God is.

Some men, not a few I fear, are trying to accept “x” as a holiness minister/professor because of what he speaks or writes. These “holiness” men seem willing to let “x” (& his wife, an extension of him) be exempt from living a life /separate/ from the world. Why? “Well, he pens/says such nice ideas.” WorDs, remember, are easy to say (especially if you think your audience wants to hear such). WorKs – how man & mate live out daily lives – are harder. Christ looks at works (See 2Co 11.15, Rev 20.12-13).

Jesus wants you to dislike, totally dislike the man-made religion called islam. It’s false, corrupt, deadly. Jesus wants you to like, even love the people deceived in this falseness. They’re to be pitied. We should never wish their death. I was raised in a catholic community. Their religion is wrong (don’t confuse catholicism & Christianity – they’re not the same) & I totally disapprove of it. But I do not hate catholics or moslems – nor should you.

Brothers – Sisters are we too political? Seems we are more, a lot more, than our Savoir. The Christ from whom “Christian” is derived was very aware (more than you & I can ever be) of corrupt world powers. Yet He never even mentions “Rome, Roman, Romans.” He had a lot to say about His Kingdom – perhaps we need to lessen our “this world words” & increase our words about “Thy Kingdom Come.” Amen? Don’t sound the identical note all the time – not even most of the time. (People will think it’s the only note you know J). But I’ve sung bass in 1000’s of songs (choirs, two quartets, congregationals on four continents) & have sung the same note in the same song – go up one, go up another, come back to where you were, over & over. Children & some not-so-young need to hear a truth again. Not every Lord’s Day, maybe not every “revival” but repeating tends to reinforce a truth. Sound the note God wants sounded.

Isa 55.7 +

Past students were drawn to God’s Bible School in part because the venerable L D Wilcox taught there.

By-gone men were drawn to Hobe Sound Bible College in part because a learned S D Herron was there.

Pupils were drawn to /then/ Frankfort Pilgrim College in part because a holy J Wesley Adcock was there.

They didn’t go because the schools were accredited. Accreditation is overrated by institution thus labeled, by parents, & students. We again need thinkers & prayers like Wilcox, Herron, Adcock & other past men.

A man who fails to see how wicked, utterly wicked, his heart is, thinks he does not need “saved.” A man partially awakened to his soul need, may want to save himself: rituals, rigid rights, or wrong rites. Only the man awake, only the man shown by the Lord, the full wickedness of his heart, knows he can’t save himself & therefore cries out to God for mercy – mercy lest he drop into hell tonight.

You’re a Christian & travel to another country. Please for the sake of God & His Kingdom don’t be “an America” (or Canadian, Brit etc) there – be a Christian. No one can help where they’re born (you nor those you visit abroad) but All, repeat ALL, may become Citizens of Heaven. The world doesn’t need you to spread nationalism – it needs you to testify, in word & deed, of Christ. Some abroad would love to climb into your suitcase & come to a better country. Can’t happen. But they CAN become a child of the King & someday enjoy a Land so superior to US (Canada, Britain, etc) that it’s impossible to make comparisons.

Third McGuffey Reader (4th – 5th grade, Rev.,1920) had these Christian words:

When you see a man being an hindrance to an institution, pray for him. Pray for him to be sanctified (assuming he’s born again) or be removed from it. He’ll have to yield & believe to be filled with the Spirit. He won’t have to do these to be removed; God can disable him, expose his lying life, or allow him to die, rather than further hurt His work. It’s a serious thing to hinder God’s work.

Young lady – how does the chap, who’s paying attention to you, treat his little sister, brother, or cousin? What does he say about his boss? (Oh, he doesn’t have a job? Drop him today.) His actions toward family & attitude toward authority are indicators of a clean or a carnal heart. – eab, 3/21/19


Young man – how does the gal you think is so sweet, treat her sis, dad or mom? What does she say to you about other girls (those who may be competing for your attention?) Don’t let love (or infatuation) blind you to her heart of selfishness or holy self-less-ness.

There is danger in believing all you see in a book on prophecy or on a prophecy chart. Do not unthinkingly “buy” all your pastor, professor, favorite “prophecy guy” teaches. Their ideas should stand up to scrutiny & MORE stand up to Scripture. It would be so unlike satan to leave a portion of God’s Word without attack – so be mindful that he will try to deceive you via false prophecy. (Not calling the above men sinners but “good” men have been wrong on this point or that, about end-time-teachings.)

Dating lady – hint for happy meals – if he asks to you to marry him J. When he takes you to a restaurant pay attention to what HE orders. (Don’t make a note then but when alone write what it was & find out how to fix it.) If he takes you to a buffet note the foods of which he gets seconds. If you have a meal with his parents, listen to what is mentioned as his favorite food. After marriage you can ask his mother how to fix it & she’ll like you better for asking for her recipe. I wish you many happy suppers with him.

Two words which I find wrongly paired – you should too – are “christian … comedian.” (There is nothing wrong with laughing at “accidental” events or an occasional pure joke.) Our Lord Jesus Christ, the King of all kings (it’s normal for earth’s kings to be serious) was anything but “funny.” Comedians use idle words. Yes, he may have no dirty stories. Yes, he may not tell jokes which reflect on the holiness of heaven, or horribleness of hell, but a string of jokes/stories is (IMO) bound to include idle words (see Mat 12.36).

Having Holy Ghost anointing is not shown by preaching long (he may like to hear himself speak). Having the anointing is not shown by being loud (he may like to “wow” people). Having the anointing is not shown by using points, sub-points & sub-sub (he may like details). And having the Spirit’s anointing is definitely not shown be being funny (he may love to entertain). Oh, how we need men who pray & obey, until they have His peculiar holy touch.

If you, O King, have within the fair borders of your kingdom a man of God i.e. a representative of the King of heaven, yea, an ambassador from beyond the skies, count yourself & your subjects wonderfully blessed. Don’t subsidize him (God supplies his needs Php 4.19) but don’t tax him. Listen to his advice & request an interest in his prayers. Only a foolish king would reject an ambassador from the realms of heaven.

God has ordained that women not be the head of the home, nor the church, nor the nation. Yet, Hear It, yet He’s left open to her, as well as males, the most powerful position (hidden, but powerful) known to man. I refer to the prayer closet. There a woman of God may go & pull heaven & earth together. A husband, a church, a nation is highly blessed to have such a powerful woman enter her closet. Your mother, sister, wife, daughter etc. may help “lead the world” toward God through the avenue of prayer. Wonderful.

Please, Friend, do not become a critic the King James Bible. You are very temporary; It is over 400 yrs old. Your life may have positively influenced 10, 100, even 500 people. The KJV has very positively influenced millions (if not billions) of people. And – – – your criticism of the King James 1.) Will not help you. 2.) It could hinder your child, grandchild (or other) from going with God.

When you run out of things for which to Praise God, look at your HAND. It could be argued to be the most complicated “machine” on the face of earth. It is almost (if not altogether) impossible to number its 1000’s of positions & thus 1000’s of movements. I thank God for my right HAND. I thank God for my left HAND. Few people have trouble with God being holy. In fact, deep inside, they may like it that He is 100% pure. Where people, even preachers, get antsy is, that He /invites/ us to be holy. Yea, He has made provision for us to be holy & requires it. His holy Word declares that without “holiness…no man shall see the Lord”(Heb 12.14). Why do people run from being holy?

Heb 2.12

Many, thank the Lord, have read their Bibles through. Have you read your hymnal through? It’s not on the same level, of course, never has been nor will be but many Hymns (exalting Him) were inspired by God & written “between a rock & a hard place.” Not as many (IMO) Gospels Songs (more testimonial) were equally inspired but without doubt some were. Reading your hymnal would be much better than most, if not all, fiction even that dubbed “christian fiction.” Think about it.

1.) Memorize Scripture. 2.) Memorize the reference for that wonderful Truth. Both 1. & 2. are good disciplines for your mind. Of course, I’m not just concerned about your mind, tho I do wish you mental health. If the day comes, Heaven forbid, you have no Bible or if a day arrives when you’re eyes make it difficult to read, Verses of the Bible you have “on file” (in your brain) could be a great comforts to you.
