Rev 22.11 +

Rev 22.11

“He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: & he which is filthy, let him be filthy still:

& he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: & he that is holy, let him be holy still.”

“Canst thou be happy while thou art unholy…

Canst thou love him a little without desiring to love him more?”

– Adam Clarke, /Christian Theology/

23 of 46 “…Pride & arrogancy…do I hate”(Pro 8.13).

Isa 25.11 And he shall spread forth his hands in the midst of them, as he that swimmeth spreadeth forth his hands to swim: and he shall bring down their PRIDE together with the spoils of their hands.

“Such is the nature of God that he cannot be more willing

to save thee in any future time than his is now.”

– Adam Clarke, /Christian Theology/

Don’t be angry with signs of age:

Wrinkles, slower gait, the “hair” you fear.

These, from God’s not-so-subtle page,

Show that soon you’ll no longer be here.

Here on earth, as beautiful as it can be,

Here on earth with sea, the bee, the tree

Here with the multitudes like you and me.

He is wanting/waiting for us to prepare

To be with the Trinity up there.

There, sin may be remembered not,

There, love is perfect, not lukewarm, but hot,

And There holiness dwells on every “city lot.”

Not all people age, but those who do – – –

Have clear warnings. Tell Him, “Thank You!”

– eab, 6/14/16

So – you plan to spend eternity with God? I kindly ask, Are you sure? Does the fraction of time (a few minutes out of a day, or even 1 hour of 24) indicate we really enjoy His presence? Please do not think I saying all prayer time is on our knees – we can/should pray while driving a car/tractor, while doing daily tasks, while even in conversation. I urge us (you & me) to increase our fellowship time with God, Now.

Eph 4.22

“That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man,

which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts”

Sadly the day’s arrived when a church dare not automatically expect a graduate of “x” Bible college to be a holiness preacher. A church could have an application form for a pastor. Among several questions (How much is he in debt? Why did he leave his last position? What’s his stand on divorce & remarriage? etc.) have him explain his beliefs about the 1.) filling of the Spirit, 2.) death to the “old man” 3.) When is the last time he preached an entire message on the necessity of being sanctified? Some church may need this today. – 6/14/19

“…This poem [Psa 119] is not & does not pretend to be a sudden outpouring of the heart like say Psalm 18. It is a pattern a thing done like embroidery stitch by stitch through long quiet hours for love of the subject & for the delight in leisurely disciplined craftsmanship.”

– C S Lewis /Reflections on the Psalms/

I do NOT agree with the sodomites commandeering the colors of the “rainbow.” Never. Reality check? They have. And (IMO) are not likely to give them up. I don’t use these colors behind my posts if possible. Nor am I likely to click “like” for your post if it has rainbow colors (though I may agree with the words). They had no right to swipe these. Sadly, in similar fashion, tongues speaking” churches, had no right to commandeer the word Pentecostal. (Holiness people, non-tongues speaking, are the true Pentecostals. (Credit: Ward French) But since public perception is otherwise, I don’t refer to myself as a Pentecostal.

“Of all bad men religious men are the worst. Of all created beings the wickedest is one who originally stood in the immediate presence of God.”
