Jam 1.15b & 16 +

Jam 1.15b & 16

“…Sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.

“Do not err, my beloved brethren.”

37 of 46 “…Pride & arrogancy…do I hate”(Pro 8.13).

Hos 7.10 And the PRIDE of Israel testifieth to his face: and they do not return to the LORD their God, nor seek him for all this.

“Gratitude is the blessing down in the soul that has to grow. And in order for it to grow it has to be expressed.”

– Carl M Eisenhart

CARNAL CARS?

Cars can be carnal expressions of the owner,

With flash, vroom, and speed.

Or, they can be necessary “evils.”

Bought and maintained by need.

It’s not the car alone (that can be seen)

The vehicle is the minor part,

Carnality can be “bright” or “black.”

The problem is always in the heart.

“If damnation were not a reality then redemption would not have been necessary.

But death, judgment & hell are fearful realities.”

– Carl M Eisenhart

Holiness & worldliness are not found in the same life, at-the-same-time. (All who’re presently holy were once worldly & sadly, many worldly people, were once holy.) There’s an exception to the first statement – – – the new convert (without light on things “worldly”) may do old habits until God, in holiness, leads him upward & onward. – 8/18/19

Jam 3.11

“Doth a fountain send forth at the same place sweet water & bitter?”

Many words are used to try to describe God – Isa 9.6 has a nice small list: “Wonderful, Counselor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace” – but no words or stack of words can properly picture Him. Man cannot describe the indescribable. If God fully described Himself man (at least while still in the flesh) could comprehend so little. However it is admirable to think, to meditate on His greatness, until we understand Him better above. – 8/18/19

“The sin question is settled in the holiness heart!”

– Ken Thompson sermon, IHC, 4/17/18

Some will compromise for a degree of money.

Others will compromise for a degree of fame.

And, sadly, some will compromise for a Degree. – 8/18/19

“Are we adjusting to the Bible or to the darkness?”

– Ken Thompson
