Psa 66.7 +

Psa 66.7

“He ruleth by his power for ever; his eyes behold the nations:

 let not the rebellious exalt themselves. Selah.”

There’s a gang in town that likes to think that they’re in charge.

There’s a mafia in a city that likes to think that they’re in charge.

There’s the illuminati that likes to think they’re in charge of the world. All are temporary!

Almighty God, Maker of heaven & earth allows man some short-term power. He’ll be the Final Ruler:

& unlike the above, His rule is benevolent. – 8/13/19

“When the Holy Guest abides within,

the soul does not shun the way of the Cross,

nor seek great things for itself.”

– Samuel L Brengle /Guest of the Soul/

The devil may not mind you attending a modernistic church (after all they’re playing “music” a lot like his). They seldom are specific about cursing, adultery, pride, or addiction to his many amusements. Sadly, satan has the Saturdays of sooo many professed “christians” & they’ll be back listening to off-color jokes tomorrow so, why should he mind that you go to a “pretend church” for an hour once a week? – 8/18/19

“…What finer, more searching & sanctifying incentive to holy living can one have than this indwelling presence of Father, Son & Holy Ghost, as Guest of the Soul?”

– Samuel L Brengle /Guest of the Soul/

Jesus is the  Word

If you’re looking for signs and wonders they can be found.

If you’re looking for Holy Words, thank God, Bibles abound.

Words are less flashy, less fleshly, lower key;

Signs appeal to the eye – we live in an “age of imagery.”

Scripture warns against the image, the statue, the idol;

(Unless activated by satan, such are always idle.)

These are easily used, easily changed to the eye deceive.

Words require the mind – thinking – are harder to receive.

Flee the visual, loud, presentations, i.e. ritual gone wild.

God spoke to Elijah in His timing; His words were mild.

– eab, 8/25/16

“Never be unemployed;

never be triflingly employed.”

– John Wesley

The term “Protestant Christian” suggests there might be some other kind of “christian.” (“Protestant” is a label – labels are stuck on by one who feels outside that group.) The souls labeled protestant have been (by-n-large) men & women who believed in the Bible: helping perhaps to translate It into the vernacular, loved It’s Truth, & in some cases died for It. They therefore are the true Christians – “Protestant” is superfluous. -8/22/19

Isa 53.6

“All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way;

& the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.”

Would you like _____ (fill blank)? “No. I’m good.” Wait – You weren’t asked if you were “good” or not – you just used “fad” speech. A more proper response would have been “No, Thank you.” AND – please – friend, when asked if you want to be Saved? Don’t say, “No, I’m good.” You (& I) are not by nature, “good.” Christ came to make us like He is – He is “GOOD” Personified. – 8/25/19

“I felt my heart strangely warmed. I felt that I did trust Christ, Christ alone for salvation & an assurance was given me that He had taken away my sins, even mine!”

– John Wesley
