Have you realized God allows physical hunger & that hunger to be satisfied on a regular basis? He could have placed a “fuel cell” in at birth which never needed “refueled.” He didn’t. He allows us to hunger today & hopefully you’re able to eat enough today to meet that hunger. But (as you know) you’ll be hungry tomorrow – as if you hadn’t eaten today. This has a true spiritual parallel. Enjoy God’s presence, pull up to His Gospel Table today & eat to your fill. But don’t skip tomorrow. He’ll have spiritual food then too. – 8/19/19

When you refuse God, you are rejecting the Greatest Gift (eternal life with Him) He has to offer. And, you’re slapping Him. This gift cost God His Son, cost His Son His earthly suffering & life & you are glibly saying, “No thanks.” O, Friend stop being unkind to the Father, the Son, & the Holy Spirit. – 8/25/19

Sports have snared millions into a type of enslavement/worship relationship. Some “play” (not a positive word in the Bible) & I might add “live to play” their addictive game, some listen via radio, some attend sporting events to see heroes of their sports-gods in person – perhaps get a pic with them or an autograph, & others watch the matches/games/play-offs on electronic devices. Their shouts almost as real as if they were there. Truly, in the light of death, sod & God, they are excited about mere trivia. Mere trivia. – 8/29/19

If you are blessed to know a man or woman who is a student of the Bible, cultivate a friendship with them. And – better yet – if they study the Word & daily speak with the Living Word double your efforts to be close to such a soul. They are rare, perhaps more rare than you (any of us) imagine. Learn from them & pray with them before they move up to the Better World above. – 8/29/19
