Mat 18.4 +

Mat 18.4

“Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child,

the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven.”

7 of 47 “…Give ear; be not PROUD: for the LORD hath spoken”(Jer 13.15)

Psa 31.23 O love the LORD, all ye his saints: for the LORD preserveth the faithful, and plentifully rewardeth the PROUD doer.

“Shortcuts to dominion are of satan not of God.”

– Samuel Chadwick /Humanity & God/

I saw a bird there,

On a twig so bare

On the top-most branch of a tree.

Between his head and the sky,

Was nothing but what might fly by.

He was lord of all he could see.

And he cocked his head,

As if he said,

“I’m way up here; look at me.”

But now he has flown,

The twig empty is shown,

And the silhouette is as blank as can be. – eab, Oct. 1965

“By sin God’s image in man is defaced

but not erased..”

– Samuel Chadwick /Humanity & God/

If there is maturity after sanctification (& there surely is) it means that at the moment of obtaining a pure heart all of us are/were immature. This does no mean we were not made holy & that our filling was not complete. It simply means what the word suggests, immaturity. May God help us to be willing to admit this about ourselves. AND may He help us to give the newly purified souls time to grow-up in Him. – 9/23/19

1Jo 1.5

“This then is the message which we have heard of him, &

declare unto you, that God is light, & in him is no darkness at all.”

“God is blessing because He found [people] willing to live in His presence.”

– Chad Snider, sermon, 8/4/19

Like Light? Great. Do everything in your power (it’s in your power to repent, to believe, to obey, to make apologies or restitutions) to go to Heaven – it’s the realm of Light. Hate darkness? That’s good too. Get out of sin, NOW. Sin leads to hell & hell (if we read Scripture correctly) will be eventually emptied into Out Darkness. Oh, Friend, leave sin & its night – come to Jesus the Light of the world. -10/5/19

“God’s goal is not to spook & awe us with His presence.

He wants to fill us with His presence.”

– Chad Snider, sermon, 8/4/19
