Do you (do I) pray Biblically? The expression “pray ye” only occurs 6 times (all in the NT). 2 of these are:
“Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest that he will send forth laborers into his harvest.” (Mat 9.38)
“Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest that he would send forth laborers into his harvest.” (Luk 10.2)
Are you praying that He will send forth your children? Your grandchildren? -11/2/19

One or more of the yrs I tried to teach biology I started the 1st day by asking students to write a definition of “life.” They struggled (rightly so) because life is impossible to define in a secular way. Christ is “…Life” (Joh 14.6). “…By him all things consist”(Col 1.17). And “…In him we live & move & have our being…” (Act 17.28). If plants & animals have life because of & in Him, how-much-more does man? And – – – if physical man, how-much-more do we have Spiritual Life because of Jesus Christ? – 11/3/19

Hymn singing, unaccompanied with musical instrument(s), has a sweetness all-its-own. This sweetness can be enhanced if it’s in four part harmony. This can be true even if the singers are sinners, but the greatest possible music on earth is produced by singers who know the truth of the hymns, who’ve weep over these truths, who’ve seen God move in a way similar to what the hymn writer wrote. That, brothers & sisters is what hymns are really about – Praise FROM a child, Praise TO the Heavenly Father. – 11/4/19
