profoundness. I doubt many of us understand a small fraction of the profound truths in the NT. One I’ve recently give a little thought to is “…I am the way, the truth, and the life…(Joh 14.6). What a vast field may be hiding in Christ’s “Way.” The Way to… The Way through… The Way up… The Way down… (Forgive the shallowness of this beginning.) May we live so we can sit at His feet Up There, listening, our hearts burning within us. -11/11/19

PRAY, PRAY
You’re thinking of asking “her” for a date.
Pondering a job with a better pay-rate.
You think you need a new truck or a car.
You want to move from wherever you are.
Pray. Don’t leave such decisions to false “fate.”
Don’t let them be driven by the dollar.
Nor the change of the color of collar.
Pray. Pray some more; Friend, maybe even fast;
Some changes change family, & last, & last
May lead to a better or worse scholar.
Grass’s not always the shade that it looks.
Covers don’t dictate what’s inside of books.
Prices thought stable – projected to stay
May change over-night – – – & fly far away.
Pray. There are saints; & there are also crooks.

profoundness. What immense vistas could come into focus if/when we start explore the “Truth” our Lord mentions (Joh 14.6). Truth is eternal. (Lies, happily, have an end.) Truth could be said to be beyond price. (Lies can be & often are bought/sold.) Truth brings healing. (Lies cause fractures, pain, death.) Truth connects directly to the Triune God-Head. (Lies are chained to their father, satan, & will go down, down, down with him.) Love Truth ancient. Anticipate Truth in the endless future. But particularly seek out & cherish Truth in the present. -11/11/19

profoundness. What is Life? Is “Life” what we see today? Is “Life” what sinners mean when they glibly chirp, “Man, this is really living”? Whatever you say about it, however you definite it, never forget that Jesus said, “…I am…Life…”(Joh 14.6). And – – – never forget that it’s while we live this “Life” we are to prepare for “Everlasting Life” (not its opposite, “perish”). All: “Way” “Truth” & “Life” are profound. Contemplate, delve into (if we dare) into these deep words of the Son. – 11/11/19
