Psa 106.1 +

Nov 18 – Psa 106.1 Praise ye the LORD. O give THANKS unto the LORD; for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever.

18 of 47 “…Give ear; be not PROUD: for the LORD hath spoken”(Jer 13.15)

Psa 123.4 Our soul is exceedingly filled with the scorning of those that are at ease, and with the contempt of the PROUD.

“To say ‘Oh, I’m no saint’ is acceptable to human pride

but it is unconscious blasphemy against God.”

– Oswald Chambers

Carnality or Grace

One man’s junk is another man’s treasure

What’s laborious for one is another’s high pleasure

What makes the difference in this wide measure?

The degree of carnality or of grace. – eab, Nov. 2005

“Fretting springs from a determination to get our own way…is wicked…

Deliberately tell God…you will not fret about that thing.”

– Oswald Chambers

Some have figured it out. If you haven’t, here’s the fact – I post to help you, your child, sibling, even your pastor. To show truths once common in sermons at holiness churches – alas they’re seldom heard now. I don’t post to have something to do (It’d be easier to read, work in my shop, take a walk.) At times I have to make myself come to this keyboard & stumble through my poor typing to express ideas. I know I don’t please everyone. But if one reader re-thinks his wicked ways & makes heaven it’ll be worth it. – 11/14/19

2Ki 9.30

“…When Jehu was come to Jezreel, Jezebel heard of it;

& she painted her face & tired her head & looked out at a window.”

“Man’s highest freedom is in being a servant of God.”

– George   Shaw

When a pastor’s wife bleaches (or dyes) her hair what can her husband say to a young woman in his church who’s adding “color” to her face? Are they not on adjoining pages? When a leading church lady wears clear fingernail polish or a white-under-nail-look what can a pastor say to young woman with red fingernails? Are they not carnally related? Don’t write this off as weird. There IS truth here. – 11/18/19

“No church can be under the guidance of the Spirit

which fears to offend the world.”
