“Diamonds & nuggets of gold

are not so precious as minutes.”

– Samuel L Brengle

Salvation is God-made. Religions are man-made. Salvation came from heaven & if fully believed will take you up there. Religions stare on earth, never raise higher, but will, matter-of-fact, lead to hell below. Religions (though some appear better than others) are ALL substitutes for salvation. They serve as ‘warm-fuzzies.” They provide “busy work” to keep you occupied until (unless you awaken) it’ll be too late to leave them & be saved. Come to Christ for full & free Salvation today. – 11/24/19

“Finney used to get up at four o’clock in the morning

& read his Bible until eight.”

– Samuel L Brengle

Your Bible should be marked

With pencil or with ink

(& tear stains too)

Thoughts that made you think

Verses or a verse-part

You want to ne’er depart

From your soul, from your heart.

– eab, 11/27/18

“The only protection against compromise

is a continual growth in grace.”

– Unknown

You’ve read God’s word & know something of its content – do you know God?

You’re love some theological points (like to argue them) – do you love for God?

You mentally appreciate elements of holiness theology – do you have heart purity? – 11/25/19

Rom 8.7

“Because the carnal mind is enmity against God:

for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.”

When you’ve sit longer in classrooms than the pastor next to you (& have degree to prove it), you may be tempted to feel superior. When you make more money than the family in the pew ahead of you, you may feel tempted to look down on them. When you’ve traveled to this continent or that, you can be tempted to pride. It’s not a sin to be tempted – it’s carnal to yield. Why do we want to feel better than peers? God can remove this ugliness from your life – seek Him for Holiness of heart. – 11/25/19
