Pro 12.12

“The wicked desireth the net of evil men:

but the root of the righteous yieldeth fruit.”

27 of 47 “…Give ear; be not PROUD: for the LORD hath spoken”(Jer 13.15)

Pro 21.24 PROUD and haughty scorner is his name, who dealeth in PROUD wrath.

“Mentally insane people are always confused about time & eternity…

but you can…procrastinate…& think it is perfectly all right.”

– R G Flexon

OBEY – EVERY TIME

Heaven was not made for a select few;

It was made for you, and you, and you!

We do not get there with the toss of a dime

Nor because born in a certain doctrine or clime.

We get to heaven by obeying God, every time. – eab, 12/12/06

“If your children have never heard you pray,

seek God, set up a family altar & go to praying.”

– R G Flexon

I fear some want to see hell as a “temperament” i.e. an unhappy place (not admitting its horrible pain.) Others “dream” that hell is temporary (hoping their soul will eventually burn up).

Hell is far more than “being unhappy” – it’s a place of torment “…I am tormented in this flame”(Luk 16.24).

And Brother John says, “…the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever & ever…”(Rev 14.11). -12/12/19

Gen 19.20

“…It is a little one: Oh, let me escape thither (is it not a little one?)…”

Lot spoke of a little city. A lot of people speak of a “little” sin.

“…The great German reformer…said ‘If any one knocks at the door of my breast & says,

‘Who lives here?’ I will answer, ‘Not Martin Luther but Jesus Christ.’”

– Daniel Steele, S.T.D.

There is “What?” “When?” “Where?” & “Who?” Sometimes the most important question is “Why?” Why talk that way? (Would you, would I, have said “that” if Jesus were visibly there?) Why dress, or only partially dress, like that? Why live the life you now live? Why continue in sin? “Why” is a question some readers need to hear AND to seriously answer. – 12/11/19

“Human courts are competent to convict of crime…

But human law & conscience combined cannot eradicate evil from the heart.”

– Daniel Steele, S.T.D.
