Gen 6.8 +

Gen 6.8

“But Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD.”

[ Quartet song added, “& he landed high & dry.”]

“Why are men ‘lovers of the world more than lovers of God’

Is it not because they really believe that the world can make them happier than God?”

– John Fletcher

Has God sent you a “Wake – Up” call? Did you reach over & shut it off? (Voted out a preacher – perhaps yrs ago, or you changed churches, or you purposely avoided that revival?) You are responsible for the Wake Up Call whether you heed it or not. – 1/4/20

“…Predestinarians…Augustine their father.”

– John Fletcher, /Works I/

GOD IS EVERY PLACE

God is in His high heaven and every other place

There is nowhere missed by His holy wholesome face

David knew of no place where there the Lord is not

(Even that one that’s known to be exceedingly hot.)

Oh, the Lord is in every place.

“Nothing puts a man so far from the devil’s reach as humility.”

– Jonathan Edwards

“God made two great lights…”(Gen 1.16). What is there about “two” (2) that’s hard to understand? “But, but – – – science calls the moon a reflector.” And, Christian Friend, God says it’s a Light. Who are you going to believe? God? or mortals? Twice more in the OT the moon has “HER light” (Isa 13.10,Eze 32.7) & twice Jesus Christ speaks of “HER light” (Mat 24.29,Mar 13.24) Who will believe God’s Word? – 1/7/19

1Co 15.41

“There is one glory of the sun & another glory of the moon & another glory of the stars:

for one star differeth from another star in glory.”

There is a danger that a minister will create “worship services” which suit him (or his wife). Or there’s a danger a church will have “worship services” which please key member(s) of the board. There’s even a danger (if a church is denominational) that its services will bear the imprint of that group or of a key man in that group. STOP. O, please stop pleasing men. Make it your goal that every church meeting begins, lasts, & closes with the leadership of the blessed Holy Spirit. 1/7/20
