Gen 4.9 +

Gen 41.9

“…I do remember my faults this day.”

SCHOOLING. It’s 6-7 months before the fall term. Your child will be school-age. You are (at least partly) aware of false ideas being regurgitate at state schools (stop calling them “public,” that’s a misnomer). You need to pray; not once, not just at church – every day. What does God what you to do about your God-given responsibility to “Train up a child in the way he should go…”(Pro 22.6). You need to pray, as if your child’s soul depends on it. It does. Pray – – – & then obey. 1/18/20

“Be a man of much secret prayer, my brother. Acquaint yourself with God;

take time to listen to His voice; read your Bible; love it, pray over it, read good books…”

– Samuel L Brengle

What-a-Boat

The master boat builder of yore,

Made the ark without sail, mast, or oar.

He made it, his Creator to please,

Who brought in two of “those,” two of “these,”

They marched up to and into Noah’s door.

– eab, 1/18/16

“Read It [Bible] to find fuel for affection, food for reflection,

direction for judgment, guidance for conscience.”

– Samuel L Brengle

I hope & pray several young men are feeling an holy urge to preach Christ. If you are, allow me to encourage you to pray & begin preparing for the highest “job” possible. How? As a man who’s taught many yrs in Bible colleges (at home & abroad) my answer is not automatically “Go to Bible college.” Let me give you 3 letters: R.S. T. R – READ the Bible. Read It every day; read It an hour or more a day. S – Study the Bible. Make notes. No greater Book can ever have your attention. T – TEACH as opportunity arises. Teach a Sunday school class, Teach a Bible study in a nursing home. – 1/18/20

2Ti 2.15

“Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed,

rightly dividing the word of truth.”

“Only use the world but enjoy God”

– John Wesley

Dear Lady – Did God leave it up to you, how long is “long” for your hair? Seriously? Even if you’ve persuaded yourself its “OK” to trim your hair – Why, Sister, Why would you want to have less “glory”? “…If a woman have long hair, it is a glory to her”(1Co 11.15). Cut off an inch, does that equal one inch less glory? The less hair the less glory & you did it to yourself. (Truth be known some men do not like their woman to have short hair.) 1/18/20

“Woe be unto you

when rich men become necessary to you!”

– John Wesley
