Are you memorizing Scripture? It’s great to know a verse here & a verse there. If you’re also learning their references; that’s better. Chapter & verse divisions were added later, therefore are not inspired but they help us locate the nugget of truth faster. And help us find it in a strange Bible (in our familiar one it was “upper-right on the left page,” J). How you connect this truth with its ch. & verse will widely vary but find a system that works for you And. Work. Your. System. 1/13/20

Do some “adults” think “Toy” is another way to spell “Joy”? The amount of $ & hours spent by “grown-ups” on Their toys (boats, four-wheelers, snow-machines, off-road 4x4s, gliders etc.) would be absolutely staggering. I don’t begrudge kids play, nor do I begrudge youth a limited degree of clean recreation but too many evangelicals & too many holiness adults are spending too much on “toys” both in time & in “twentie$.” Don’t wait till on your death bed to say “I wasted too much on this world.” – 1/18/20

Which is first with you? the cause of Christ? the cause of America? Both can NOT be first! Christ doesn’t want you to kill for Him; satan wants you kill; it’s a way to get souls to hell. Yes, I know, some would hype you into fighting for your rights, saying, “It’s the American thing to do.” Christ: “…Love your enemies…” (Mat 5.44). Paul: “For though we walk in the flesh we do not war after the flesh”(2Co 10.3). Please Friend, obey Jesus; not some well-meaning (he thinks) but carnal sinner.
