1Ki 18.36 +

1Ki 18.36

“…LORD God of Abraham, Isaac & of Israel, let it be known this day that thou art God in Israel & that I am thy servant & that I have done all these things at thy word.”

Are you reading your Bible? Why? “Well, in our Sun. Sch. class they ask how many chapters we’ve read.” (Good idea BTW.) or “Dad might ask about my Bible reading when he calls.” (Another idea with a plus sign.) or “I’m reading to be a good example to my child.” (Good. Do that.) Is there an even better reason to read your Bible? Yes. It is “profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness”(2Ti 3.16) – – – “That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works”(2Ti 3.17). Oh, yes. Praise the Lord. 3/9/20

Families have reunions grand,

Grandpa, Grandma and the clan,

On a summer day in June or in July

They enjoy each others fun,

See aunt, niece or a grandson

But too soon ah, O, so soon they say “Good Bye!”

Will you be there at that Great Homing Day?

Will you be there when the clouds have rolled away?

You can answer at that final high Roll Call

You can be there if you’ve given Christ your all.

“Know, then, that all failure has its beginning in the closet, in neglecting to wait on God, until filled with wisdom, clothed with power, & all on fire with love.”

– Samuel L Brengle

Christians have a glorious privilege of Rejoicing every Lord’s Day – The day Christ arose from the grave. We are not restricted to some tradition of man labeled “lent.” As true Believers please feel no need, to give any service (lip or otherwise) to this roman catholic idea. Better to celebrate 52 times as only once.

Celebrate Our Lord’s Resurrection every First Day of the week. – 3/10/20

Mar 16.9

“Now when Jesus was risen early the first day of the week,

he appeared first to Mary Magdalene, out of whom he had cast seven devils.”

“Men never do evil so completely & cheerfully as when they do it from religious conviction.”

– Blaise Pascal

In an age when nearly every minuet of our camp mtgs. conventions, & preacher’s conferences are planned what would the Holy Spirit have to do to come? Would He have to “break – in”? Will the leader be willing to set aside the schedule? Is the opening prayer honest when we “invite” Him to come? What about the paper “so-n-so” has ready to present? “You don’t believe in having a plan, Bryan?” Yes, have tried to chair too many meetings to say no. Are we willing however yea, wanting, the Heavenly Guest to come? 3/10/20
