2Ch 16.9a +

2Ch 16.9a

“For the eyes of the LORD run to & fro throughout the whole earth

to show himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him…”

“If highly educated ministers are not spiritual (& many aren’t), it is their own fault…It is their carnal pride of learning, or neglect of prayer, or the rejection of the baptism of the Holy Spirit & sanctification.”

– A M Hills

It is wonderful that you can Pray for people whether they want you to or not. Thank God they can’t stop you from praying for them. And a second wonderful thing; People can’t stop you from forgiving them. They may not understand your forgiveness, may even wish you hated them for why they hate you, may resent your sweet spirit but they can’t stop you from truly forgiving them. Praise the Lord. – 2/29/20

“So much as one person with a contrary spirit to God is enough to affect all the meetings…

the revival fire did not flow until that person broke & confessed or the Lord removed him.”

– Jonathan Goforth

Oh what does the Lord want in this life of mine,

But to be fully yielded to His will Divine.

A willing soul is what He needs,

A converted life; not a beast that bleeds.

Calling. Dear Pastor – do you call in the homes of your people? “No, I don’t know how.” I appreciate your honesty, brother. Stop by a realtor office, bank or other source for a free map. Your church file hopefully has the address of each person (single/family) who attends. Make a list of locations that will fit your map. Have a good season of prayer at the church for eyes to see, & ears to hear. Start out with a full take of gas, a Bible (maybe not your preacher one), & calling cards. The hardest doors will be numbers 1, 2 &/or 3. By the time you leave the 3rd home you’ll be happy you went calling. 3/20/20

“I have noticed very carefully successful people from every walk of life.

The so-called trivials mean something to them. The nonessentials seem to be essentials.”

– Jack Hyles

Jer 33.3

“Call unto me & I will answer thee,

& show thee great & mighty things, which thou knowest not.”

Education is a great blessing, yet this is a danger that America today is making a god of education.”

Explanation on the post “Calling.” Entirely un-solicited a person who attended a church I pastored told me recently I was the only pastor who knocked on their door. I’m glad I went. I’m sorry other pastors have not gone. The pastor missed a blessing & the people missed a memory of him praying at their couch or kitchen table. This is here today because JUST THIS am I got a call from a different church attendee (& a different church) & was told nearly the same words. I don’t shock easily but maybe I can say I’m approaching being shocked. This, Pastors, may be one reason too many churches are dying. – 3/20/20
