Rom 3.23 +

Rom 3.23

“For all have sinned &

come short of the glory of God”

“It is not possible to pray with confidence toward the Lord

without being aware of His presence.”

– T M Anderson

“Let not your heart be troubled…”(Joh 14.1a). The devil would like you (as a Christian) to worry. You & I cannot control troubles but we can (with God’s grace) keep the troubles out of our hearts. We serve the Triune God, Maker of all you see above you (Heavens), Maker of all you see about you (Earth) & the One who’s in charge of what happens in 2020 & days or decades(?) beyond. He, Praise His Name, has everything under control. “Let not your heart be troubled…” – 4/5/20

“We cannot hope to escape the flood of evil which threatens to overwhelm the believers

today unless we are constantly refilled & re-invigorated by the Holy Spirit.”

– T M Anerson

Do you walk gladly to its door?

Is its handle worn from use?

Have you been there oft before?

Or has it fallen into dis-use?

Is it indoors or outside?

Do you visit it day or night?

Does it yield pain or pleasure

To be there “hidden,” out-a-sight”?

Are you reluctant to leave

Hate to go back to “life”?

Have you enjoyed your time there?

Or was going there a battle/strife

How often to you get there?

To that closet, that Closet of Prayer?

Years ago I came to the firm conclusion: I’m a Christian first & an American second. Let me encourage you to stand on this same foundation – stand strongly. As an American I don’t like all I see & hear that’s happening & I’m far from convinced the correct “advice” is being followed. But as a Christian, it’s terribly important that I have a Christ-like attitude. Remember, He came to be a “Jew” (the Man part of Him) when Jews were under the thumb of heathen Rome yet He had (as far as I see) only one negative word “…Go ye & tell that fox…”(Luk 13.32) to say about any Roman official. – 4/5/20

& definite seeking should produce definite results.”

Exo 20.3

“Thou shalt have no other gods before me.”

Has “Family altar” taken on new depth recently? I hope you, your wife, & your at-home-children are meeting at least once a day to read God’s Holy Word – It IS the Good News! – & to earnestly pray. God’s first institution was not a church, nor a school, nor a government; it was the Home. If you find yourself with extra time, please, for the sake of your children, for the sake of your wife’s soul & yours, & for His Kingdom, use this to be better grounded in Biblical truth & to be growing in grace, via prayer. – 4/5/20
