Rom 6.6 +

Rom 6.6

“Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed,

that henceforth we should not serve sin.”

“Die to live,

Lose to save,

Give to have.”

– G I Norman

Some people seem overly concerned about God’s sovereignty. Let me tell you how concerned He is. He, who could crush any of us more easily than we do a mosquito, allows us – you read that right – *us* to decide if we want to walk with Him or not. That’s how secure He is in His sovereignty! – 3/17/20

“When a man receives the blessing of holiness he is ready for it. He is willing to take the consequences. He believes the promises of God…He trusts God for it.”

– John Paul

The marshalling of letter men,

In columns across a page,

Arranged and rearranged again,

To tell a later age,

The ideals, the hopes,

The palpations of the heart,

Words “smithed,” stretched in place –

The writer’s serious art.

You’ve been lied to. I wish you could know how often. I wish you could know by whom. I’ve also been lied to – we live in a world that is “…Deceiving & being deceived…”(2Ti 3.13). In this mess only God, His word, & His truly holy people, can be trusted. Be extremely careful who you believe. – 4/9/20

“It is a most extraordinary thing that the common version of the Holy Scriptures has such a delicate poise of related clauses & such perfect rhythm of rippling flow that our revisers of 1881 have often marred rather than mended the older version.

– Henry W Warren

1Jo 2.22

Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ?

He is antichrist, that denieth the Father & the Son.”

The Lord be praised – I’ve had such wonderful health. (Last time I was in a hospital overnight, was right after birth in 1943.) The last days I’ve had some low-back pain; a light affliction compared to many but all pain can/should remind us that we will someday, by His infinite Grace, have a new body. God, help us to be faithful to You. – 4/13/20

“When one has prayed till desire has changed to faith & faith matured into full assurance & God’s promise firmly held gives way to God’s presence, then he can rightly stop & say, Amen; so it shall be.”

– Henry W Warren
