“Rejoice in the Lord alway:

and again I say, Rejoice.”

God the Father is totally, Totally other. He created humans (evolution is devilish!), understands us perfectly, yet remains completely separate from us. Christ (via the miracle of one & only virgin Birth) became Human. The Son was not Human before but now & forever will be the God/Man, Creature & “Creature.” – 7/8/20

“..Of course sin must end with our bodily life.”

– John Fletcher

A church is under no obligation to make a nation within which it operates “look good.” Conversely, a nation is under no obligation to give laud to a church within its political bounds. God’s true churches have a higher, much, much higher allegiance & nations are earth-bound entities as they have always been.  Do not be fooled, do not follow the trend to obliterate the line between church & state. Let Caesar be “caesar” & let God be GOD. Be kind to the nation & national leaders but “worship” neither. – 7/8/20

“None make so much use of Christ’s blood as perfect Christians.”

– John Fletcher

all make Sense

Color and texture and depth and size

We own by medium of our eyes

Pitch and volume and discord we hear

By the grand medium of the ear

Salt and sour, bitter and sweet

The tongue well performs this useful feat

New-mown grass, freshly turned dirt, man knows

And the scent of the sea, all via the nose.

We feel the insect land on the hand.

Isn’t the sense of touch something grand?

We are, I fear, at an all-time-low in Bible memorization. Allow me to offer three reasons 1.) It is work to memorize Scripture – too many of us have a “lazy” streak. 2.) It takes time to commit verses to memory – too many of us have more important things to do with our time. [Oh, I know, we’re too religious to say this openly, but – Do our actions speak louder than words?] 3.) We have become so used to images, & yes, moving images, that mere words border on the boring. – 7/11/20

“It [holiness] is not a completed experience but admits of unending growth.

It…places us in a condition where the obstructions to growth are removed.”

– J M Pike

Psa 119.11

“Thy word have I hid in mine heart,

that I might not sin against thee.”

Have you become addicted to movies? (Some readers remember when you never watched a movie: downtown picture show or home TV). Then along came “christian movies” & you caved -you thought it was sort-a-fun. Others of you started figuring out “A” was a clean movie (no murder/rape) or “B” was better than “C” & you’ve been trying to sorting the bad apples from the really-bad apples ever since. Friend, it’s past time to give all such & spend more time talking to God & to your family. – 7/11/20

“You’ll be someone,

somewhere

for eternity.”

– Winfield Poe
