“I have been young & now am old; yet have I not

seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread.”

“…John Calvin, who justifies Christians getting angry, is historically known

for his disposition & exhibition of anger.”

– Warren C McIntire

What’s an elbow? It (simplified def.) is a joint in the “middle’ of the arm. What’s a knee? It (again simplified def.) is a joint in the “middle’ of the leg. An elbow is also a fitting marker for a sleeve. And – – – you saw this coming (?) the knee is a place to stop the skirt. “Bryan, you are so old-fashioned.” Well, I am 77 ½ yrs old – but I stood for modesty in the 1950’s when I was young. Whether you like the above (or loathe it) you’ll have to admit that those who hiked their hems about the knee seem to find no place to stop. Those who took their sleeves above the elbow have not found a place to stop. Please, Friend end your love-affair with short sleeves & short skirts. Stop at God’s mid-limb “stop signs.” – 9/13/20

“…We should feel only pity to the sinner.

If we are angry at the person as well as the fault we sin.”

– John Wesley

Memories. Great Memories. God’s been so faithful (even when I fell short) across high sch. days at God’s Bible Sch. He was with me in choosing a wife (We were high sch. sweethearts.) God was a great help as I (married & father of 2) “crammed” my 4 yrs of college into 6. I have a multitude of bright memories at HSBC (’67-70). So enjoyed teaching, beach hikes, helping do the school picnics, hearing H Robb French, S D Herron, & at camp Glen Griffith, J Percy Trueblood. Too many glowing times to recall here in 1 simply post. These were (to God be the glory) because I was attempting to mind Him. Friend, Please, live right, now, so when you’re old & gray you’ll also have much good to remember. – 9/13/20

God has seen beauty no human eye knows,

God has smelled fragrance no mortal can suppose,

God has touched texture unknown in this earthy place,

God has “tasted” flavors unreached by the human race,

And He has heard music beyond symphonic rows.

“You ain’t seen nott’n’ yet. (Hope, you’ll allow the vernacular.) Beautiful sunrises/sunsets? O, yes, but these are *outside* heaven. Magnificent storms – I’ve enjoyed standing just inside a large, open barn door & watching sheets of summer-storm-rains press across a valley. Again, such power, such beauty is *outside* of heaven. “Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard…things which God hath prepared for them that love him”(1Co 2.9). We may have some rough days ahead but heaven will worth our hardest trials. Stand firm. – 9/13/20

“…Whom shall I wed? A daughter of the King to a child of the world?

…choose well! Your choice is brief yet endless.”

– Andrew W Blackwood

1Co 2.9

“Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man,

the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.”

The best home schooling parents are Christians. Period. Oh, they may not be the best teachers. Their scope & sequence may be warped. If you were a “fly-on-the-wall,” you might feel sorry for “Johnny/Suzie” but they’re still the best – Why? Because they can/do pray. 1.) They can pray for themselves, that they’ll do better 2.) They can pray for their child that he’ll understand  3.) Both of these are to the Master Teacher, Christ, who wants the home-school to succeed more than either parent or child does. – 9/13/20

What shall it profit a man if he shall gain all the learning of the schools

& lose his faith in God?”

– Wm J Bryan
