“Create in me a clean heart, O God;

& renew a right spirit within me.”

“The Lord answers our desires,

not our words.”

– Remis Rehfeldt

Is it safe to assume that each of us post what is important to us? That the pic of your cat was nearly the top event of your day? That your dog (in a sweater, or with a bow, or with “glasses” on) was a high priority another day? Or did you post a Pro ____ meme, or an Anti ____ meme as important? Or did a great Scripture stand out to you & you shared part of that? Friend, is it safe to say “Out of the abundance of the heart, the fb posts speaks?” – 9/12/20

“Every true believer is an expression of the mind

& thought of Christ.”

– Ken Rice, sermon, 8/3/91

We ought to & do feel sorry, for youth & other immature people who put things into their bodies not knowing what the substance with do to heart, lungs, or other organs. As bad (or worse, IMO) are youth & some not so young, who read falseness, listen to corrupt teachers, or watch 10,000s of hours of films putting weird & deadly ideas (old & new) into their minds. Worst of all, are souls who take into their innermost being, into their souls, lies from satan, lies from “…his ministers…”(2Co 11.15) & if they persist God sadly, allows them to “…believe a lie”(2Th 2.11). Flee all lying religions. Run from all false prophets. Seek truth; Seek. With. All. Your. Heart. TODAY. – 9/17/20

To humanly count the pointed trees,

Guarding just one cool, Alaskan stream,

Could take a life-time, if you please,

(And t’would be a nightmare – not a dream).

Trees are there whom no man has yet seen,

All awkwardly pointing to the sky,

An odd blend of black, gray, and green,

Silent, except for the wind’s sad cry.

From seedling to youth, to great old age,

They stand rooted in the northern sod,

Of wonders they’re just one more page,

Mute life, glorifying their high God.

You left the narrow way. You no longer see worldliness as wrong – – – it’s become a part of your core life. You left your 1st wife & married another (or 1st husband etc.). Your Bible is a modern version, your church is not much more than a “religious show” & your devotions are dry – if you have them at all. STOP. Please, peer of mine, former student, or former parishioner – STOP. Look around you. America is falling. The paper-money bubble will someday burst (& life as you’ve known it will burst with it). Please, STOP, turn around & come back to God. “I can’t.” You can. “I can’t” Don’t listen to satan; he’ll tell you you can’t. satan is a liar. STOP & come back to God. You can. Make yourself do right now. – 9/17/20

Hos 14.4

“I will heal their backsliding,

Having a Fall Get-Together? Hope you enjoy things like home-made chili, or pumpkin pie, apple cider, & other fallish foods. May the temp be warm, skies blue, & the leaves be meandering down. Thank God for seasons all but particularly for Fall. Now, my request – it’s worth accepting, I promise you – don’t make your time a substitute for a horrible day, the satan day called halloween. (Spell-check wanted me to capitalize it; I did not.) Have your “party” on an entirely different date. In fact, it would be great if you & I never say that word again. The devil’s crowd (witches, warlocks etc.) have used this day. Enjoy the Fall God gives but ignore satan – give him no honor. – 9/17/20

I wish you would not post memes with pics of some actor/actress. (Why do you do that?) I wish you would not quote such ilk – like they’re some above-average-dude. Some of us (I wish we were more) do not know who these fake people are. Please quote a Minister or Historical character or a past statesman. I really have little concern what some actor has to say, even if he is “supposedly” a conservative. – 9/13/20

God gave you a baby-girl. You were thrilled. She was born feminine. Guard her pure life: at 5 yrs of age, at 10, at 15, & if she’s not married yet, at 20. There’s never a time for her to “cross-over” to the opposite. Never. Oh, I know hollywood has tried to change this. disney (Both are purposely not capitalized; not worthy of that respect.) has pushed obliterating the line between the sexes. And, hear it, anytime a “christian” movie puts up an actress in pants THEY are doing the devil’s bidding. One of the most precious things on earth is a feminine female. Help your daughter stay that way. – 9/13/20

Thus saith the Lord

Never be afraid to say, “Thus saith the Lord”

IF the Lord said thus.

Fear not the face of man, ah

Fear not one of us.

Speak as a prophet with

No strings or things attached,

Pray and preach, preach and pray

Let Truth be said, let Truth be hatched

The world and the worldly church

Need once again to solemnly hear

The Word of the Lord spoken

Without favor, with faith, without fear.

– eab, 9/15/17

Dear Pastor – Serious QuestionS. When is the last time you preached an entire message on the horribleness of carnality? When did you last systematically expose the traits of the “old man” for what they really are? When did you speak of the deadliness of keeping carnal anger, envy, jealousy, pride, selfishness, etc. on board? Please check your record. Are you one of those several (I fear) men who are called holiness preachers but who do not address the nature of sin within. Are you sanctified holy? – 9/15/20

“No man should be in public office

– Thomas Dewey

1Co 3.3

“For ye are yet carnal: for whereas there is among you envying

& strife & divisions, are ye not carnal & walk as men?”

Some of you “read” your Bible on your phones & I have little chance of changing you. 1.) If you’re not doing that 2.) If you are considering doing that  3.) If you’re tired of doing that, I’m here to encourage you to become a Bible-BOOK-Reading Christian again. Acquire a well bound, leather Bible with quality paper. Get a thin, plastic 6” ruler which can give you a straight-edge (& serve as a book-marker). Have a blue ink (my favorite color) pen or black for underlining. Have a red ink penning for marking 1,2,3 or A,B,C & other marks to connect points. Mark on the last page to see if your ink bleeds through the page before marking the first page. Read a Book-Bible again & enjoy it as never before! – 9/15/20

Have you (I mean YOU) seen it yet? Hollywood is false. Disney is unreal. Any made-on-a-set movie (even those claiming to be “christian”) has a percentage of “make-believe.” The producers are making million$ – uh – make the billion$ showing you fake houses, fake “love,” even fake people. Please awaken. Destroy the TV. Stop watching movies on your computer or smart phone. You, Friend, are wasting your time. – 9/12/20

Finding it a challenge to read God’s Word? Admittedly some parts are harder to read (I just finished Leviticus again). The more you read the Bible, the easier it will be to read. Will It ever be totally easy? Maybe not, thought It can be a real delight. After all, the Bible is an ancient Book: the last Book penned was written some 1900 yrs ago. It is a heavenly Book & we, mere mortals are invited to peruse It. It’s above us & our native ability but the wonderful thing is that the God who wants us to read It, is present with us as we try, & will help us as we ask Him. Amen. – 9/13/20

Creator He was at man’s beginning,

Creating the earth, the sea, the sky.

Sustainer He was at the earth’s flooding

Protecting species: elephant and fly.

Redeemer He was at the “thorn-crowning”

Though “It is finished” was His final cry.

Ruler He’ll be at His great next coming

Forever ending the rule of the sly.

Many ladies enjoy weddings. Some gentlemen enjoy receptions. Thank God for Christian weddings. But – now – its 5/10 yrs later. The groom’s not as “dashing” & the bride (after a child or 3 has a little extra weight. What now? Work on the marriage. Bride – remember his favorite food (fix it) & the perfume he likes (wear it). Groom – bring her a bouquet of flowers. I was tempted to write “if you have to pick them yourself” but in reality the bouquet is BEST which you (wandering through fall-fields) thoughtfully hand-pick for her. Pray for each other! Forgive each other! Ask the Lord to increase your love for each other & for God. – 9/14/20

If you want an “audience” with the village mayor you may need to make arrangements days in advance. Raise that to governor & you’ll probably raise the time also (weeks & a limit of 10 minute with him). If you want a few minutes with the president you may or may not even be able to arrange such. But – ready for this? – But the King of kings, Monarch of Heaven & earth, will meet with you today & tomorrow, & the next. And – – – you can have an audience as long as you desire, tell him anything you like, & learn secrets only those intimate with Christ know. – 9/14/20

What’s an elbow? It (simplified def.) is a joint in the “middle’ of the arm. What’s a knee? It (again simplified def.) is a joint in the “middle’ of the leg. An elbow is also a fitting marker for a sleeve. And – – – you saw this coming (?) the knee is a place to stop the skirt. “Bryan, you are so old-fashioned.” Well, I am 77 ½ yrs old – but I stood for modesty in the 1950’s when I was young. Whether you like the above (or loathe it) you’ll have to admit that those who hiked their hems about the knee seem to find no place to stop. Those who took their sleeves above the elbow have not found a place to stop. Please, Friend end your love-affair with short sleeves & short skirts. Stop at God’s mid-limb “stop signs.” – 9/13/20

Memories. Great Memories. God’s been so faithful (even when I fell short) across high sch. days at God’s Bible Sch. He was with me in choosing a wife (We were high sch. sweethearts.) God was a great help as I (married & father of 2) “crammed” my 4 yrs of college into 6. I have a multitude of bright memories at HSBC (’67-70). So enjoyed teaching, beach hikes, helping do the school picnics, hearing H Robb French, S D Herron, & at camp Glen Griffith, J Percy Trueblood. Too many glowing times to recall here in 1 simply post. These were (to God be the glory) because I was attempting to mind Him. Friend, Please, live right, now, so when you’re old & gray you’ll also have much good to remember. – 9/13/20

God has seen beauty no human eye knows,

God has smelled fragrance no mortal can suppose,

God has touched texture unknown in this earthy place,

God has “tasted” flavors unreached by the human race,

And He has heard music beyond symphonic rows.

“You ain’t seen nott’n’ yet. (Hope, you’ll allow the vernacular.) Beautiful sunrises/sunsets? O, yes, but these are *outside* heaven. Magnificent storms – I’ve enjoyed standing just inside a large, open barn door & watching sheets of summer-storm-rains press across a valley. Again, such power, such beauty is *outside* of heaven. “Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard…things which God hath prepared for them that love him”(1Co 2.9). We may have some rough days ahead but heaven will worth our hardest trials. Stand firm. – 9/13/20

The best home schooling parents are Christians. Period. Oh, they may not be the best teachers. Their scope & sequence may be warped. If you were a “fly-on-the-wall,” you might feel sorry for “Johnny/Suzie” but they’re still the best – Why? Because they can/do pray. 1.) They can pray for themselves, that they’ll do better 2.) They can pray for their child that he’ll understand  3.) Both of these are to the Master Teacher, Christ, who wants the home-school to succeed more than either parent or child does. – 9/13/20

Do not – Do Not become a “slave” to numbers. Numbers can become an addiction, even an allurement.

1.) Some live to see bank account, Wall St. investments, their wealth grow – they live for these numbers.

2.) Some play with numbers; gamble &/or delve into shady deals of “legal” & illegal gain. Numbers control.

3.) Some have “discovered” a *magic* in numbers. Astrology, numerology, some “pseudo-math.” Numbers have lured into the occult. – 9/10/20

If you do not allow your child (or a grandchild under your control) to watch kid’s videos you are possibly among the smartest of parents. If, however you’re allowing some movies to be seen by your child, Please, PLEASE be very limited in what you allow. Never set before them any video you have not watched. You should pray before you watch it. You should watch it by your self. You should have backbone enough to not show it to the child If You Have The Slightest Question. Over hell and death and sin

And just before He left

Your soul – the real *you* (your body is so temporary) – is the most precious possession you have. No questions ask. The second most precious “item” you have is your wife/husband. Pray for & do everything you know to do to help him/her go to heaven. (By contrast, do nothing to hinder their walk with God. Nothing.) If your wife/husband is not a Christian ask the Lord to help you to be patient, be loving, be joyful, until your mate gives serious consideration to joining you as a child of God. – 9/12/20

God lives and moves far, far above men,

Has always done so, near and far,

Before there was a past “when,”

Before He lit the first star.

God is so majestic, lovely, alone,

Alone, in that no equal is found.

His is the eternal throne

Situate without stone or ground.

He is holy and so is His name,

Purity propounded, is our God.

And He’s always, forever the same,

Independent of wind, wave, or clod

That this great Being would care,

About all mankind, let alone one,

And would of His holiness share,

Makes one joyous that it is done.

God gave His Son to live and die,

That sins and their root-sin could go,

Go forever from the bold and the shy,

And Love in its place, might forever grow.

– eab, 9/11/05

Are you praying, more? If not, Brother, Sister surely you’re asleep or worse, spiritually dead. If you are praying more, are your prayers heavy in politics (“Lord, help So-n-So, get elected” or “Defeat What-his-Name”). I’d love to encourage you to get beyond such & ask God for an Awakening. The devil was “kicked-out” of heaven at a pre-creation date. He dropped & has been “prince of this world”(Joh 12.31, 14.30, 16.11) & “prince of the power of the air”(Eph 2.2) for some 6000 yrs. He, after losing heaven, will never again enter It’s purity. The devil knows humans can go up, & is doing all he can (“…which deceiveth the whole world…”Rev 12.9) to keep us from heaven. Use a hymnal. “That is so outdated!” Really?

1.) Hymnals allow a person to whom the hymn is new, to read the notes for soprano, alto, tenor or bass.

2.) Hymnals show who wrote the words, his/her name is on the upper left (in older, quality books).

3.) Hymnals show who wrote the music, his/her name is on the upper right (in older, quality books).

(Some “wall choruses” may not show who wrote either – who wrote something makes a difference in his “definition” of wording.) – 2/4/20

One of the worse things you can have hanging in the church (anywhere in the church) is a “picture” of Jesus. (This is also one of the worse items you can have in your home.) No one knows what Jesus looked like. God saw to it that no “photograph” “picture” “image” of His Son was left. Any “picture” of our Lord is strictly man’s imagination. The same amount of paper,

The same amount of ink,

Makes a one or a one-hundred.

What’s the difference? What’d you think?

Gold, by awesome contrast,

Has value from weight or size,

True value comes forth

Religions also man makes.

Its value is what you “think.”

God makes true salvation,

With values beyond the skies.

Gold, like God’s way,

No human understands death. Those eyes that just showed a glint of humor or the love of a slight smile now lie still – life has departed. The flesh that was pliable & warm is chilling to warm no more – life has departed. The brain which was nimble is decaying & that mysterious part of us we label the soul is gone.

Christians take a stand for Scripture & thus oppose pseudoscience. A few times we (or some element of Christianity) may have seen the stand to take decades/centuries ago.
