Job 28.28 +

Job 28.28

“And unto man he said, Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom

& to depart from evil is understanding.”

“It is almost taken for granted in the NT that tribulation

is the normal lot of Christians.”

– F F Bruce

Every cult desires “preachers” to spread its falseness; guys who are mentally convinced & who spend yrs. pushing its misleading concepts. The Kingdom of God needs not such shallow fellows. We need men who have met the Savior in Salvation, who’ve met the Sanctifier in Purity, & therefore tell from their holy hearts the difference He’s made for them, & how different their hearers lives will be when they meet Jesus.  – 11/4/20

“Freudian…Everything wrong with me is some one else’s fault. It is also a

completely hopeless philosophy for it is the denial of personal responsibility.”

– Andrew W Blackwood

If you sing in church, play an instrument there, have money, or have a likable personality, you’re in danger of being looked-up-to, in danger of having a larger-than-you-should influence at your place of worship. Please (I ask as a friend) Please be REAL. If you testify to being a Christian, Be One. If you say you’re filled with the Spirit – Be Filled With the Spirit. – 11/7/20

To see a sunset,

And be atheist yet

‘Tis hard.

That bard*

God knew though stone blind.

May you seek like mind.

– eab,  Nov. 1966  *J. Milton

God uses words not symbols. The symbol most widely accepted as “christian” is a cross. I purposely wrote “a”- to write “the” suggests a definiteness, but there are several shapes seen as crosses. Nowhere are christians told to honor a cross. We’re never told to make a “sign of the cross” or place a cross on a church roof, on a “christian flag,” on a pulpit, or at the end of a pew. I encourage you to stop using supposed “christian imagery.” We may be being mislead – it’d be just like satan to do so. – 11/8/20

“Most joyfully will I confirm with my blood

that truth which I have written & preached.”

– John Huss, at the stake

Joh 1.1

“In the beginning was the Word

& the Word was with God

& the Word was God.”

Much of the good (or ill) in life is based on decisions: Your decisions or the decisions you allow the Lord to help you make. Never say to the Father, “It’s OK, God, I can handle this one.” Your sight ends as the trail bends – He sees the whole path. “But, Lord, she’s so beautiful.” And, she may be inside as well as face & form but a car wreck can result in a twisted body or a deformed face & your promise “till death due us part” may ring in your ears for years. Let God help you make decisions? No, BEG God to help you. – 11/9/20

“The more joy you have in the Lord the less entertainment you need.

Entertainment is the devil’s substitute for joy.”

Leonard Ravenhill
