Psa 19.14 +

Psa 19.14

“Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart,

be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD, my strength & my redeemer.”

“Unless the will is free, man has no freedom & if he has no freedom he is not a moral agent,

that is, he is incapable of moral action & also of moral character.”
Charles G Finney

Women see another woman dressed in “x” & somehow believes it cute. A man sees a guy with his car/truck “fixed up” & imagines his vehicle needs modification. Both sexes see a haircut on TV (or the guy/gal with it saw it on TV) & think they’d look better with this wildness. *Oh, normalcy, where art thou?* If you could see what you (or auto) look like to the rest of us, you’d have saved the time & twentie$ it took to end up looking odd (nicer word) or stupid (word not as nice but maybe as accurate). – 11/30/20

“A revival may be expected when Christians have a spirit of prayer for a revival…when they pray as if their hearts were set upon it…When they go about groaning out their hearts desire.”
Charles G Finney

There was an era (I’ve read of) when a single pioneer man would build a house. Then, after he’d married his true love, he’d bring her to the dwelling he’d framed & finished & they, together, would make it a home. There’s a coming “era” when Christ, who has gone to “…Prepare a place for…” us will come & take us to with Him. The pioneer carpenter may (or may not) have gotten the details right for his bride, but rest assured, the “Carpenter” from Bethlehem, will have every detail perfect in our Heavenly Home. – 12/1/20

Bi-lingual?

What better could be said

Of you, after you’re dead,

Than he/she knew how to pray?

That you spoke the language of the soul,

Pulled on heaven for men to be made whole.

Bi-lingual? No, prayer is better by far;

Its speech is above the highest star.

Saints are getting ready for a wedding. It’ll be the *Wedding of the Ages.* The Son of God is marrying. He, the Spotless, the Pure, the Holy Bridegroom is uniting with His prepared, pure Virgin. This Bride is separated from the world – feels an abhorrence to it – is separated from it, that she might be separated to Christ. The Bridegroom, who is wealthy beyond earthly imagination, has supplied all she *needs* but SHE is the one who makes “herself ready”(Rev 19.7). Are YOU, reader, getting ready? – 12/1/20

I had my nearest & most intimate glimpses of the presence of my Lord

in those dread moments when musket, club or spear was being leveled at my life.”
– John G Paton

Mat 6.6

“…When thou prayest, enter into thy closet & when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret & thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.”

America does not need professed “christians” in uniforms (military or sports).

We need real Christians, living pure lives in real communities & living praying lives:

Praying at church & if anything, more so, Praying at home in family altar & secret closet. – 12/2/20

“I regard it as a greater honour to live & work for Jesus,

than to be a self-made martyr.”

– John G Paton
