Psa 118.24 +

Psa 118.24

“This is the day which the LORD hath made;

we will rejoice & be glad in it.”

“The purpose of God is not to make you happy;

The purpose of God is to make you holy.”

– V O Agan, IHC, 4/21/92

God gave you a call to preach. Don’t you DARE take your “people skills” & “pleasing personality” to a secular job just to make money. Granted, you might die rich in this world’s toys – but by failing to preach the riches of Christ, you may cause 100s of souls to miss the next world’s holy joys. Toys vs Joys? There is no comparison. Absolutely none. -1/5/21

“If you reject truth & won’t believe the truth

what else [can] you believe but a lie.”

– V O Agan, 2/12/98

Praying souls become aware, not so much of the power that lurks around them, as to the POWER which hovers above them. They may see man’s limited might but they have a greater vision of God’s unlimited Might. His strength outshines man’s strength, SO that praying souls rely much *the more* on God’s.  -1/12/21

NOT ON OUR OWN

The carnal man, too many times, wants to be known

For what he’s done, where he’s been, what he’s sown.

The holy man knows if there’s good from his story

It’s little credit to him; God gets the Glory.

None of us do, what we do, ALL on our own.

– eab, 1/20/21

Some preachers have a desire to be Biblical or at least to *appear* Biblical. As a man who’s taught/preached across 50+ yrs I believe I can say that it may be harder to be Biblical than it appears. You have to be willing to face the disapproval of the American culture. You may also be disapproved by schools (literal or schools of thought) & even by ministerial peers. Be strong, Brother, not in your opinions (that’s too easy for some of us) but be strong in your desire to think, write, pray, Biblically. – 1/18/21

“…Blessed to discover a people…who do not want to be entertained with cheap programs

& silly plays in the church, a people hungry for the bread of life…”

– T M Anderson

Eph 5.25

“Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church,

& gave himself for it;”

Second only to the love between a man & his God, is the love between a man & his wife. The first relationship can be thought of as a mirror of the second. This is no accident. Nor, is it an accident that satan has fought the stable Christian home – such a home points the children (neighbors & anyone else who is watching) toward the higher love & commitment of a man toward God. But, sadly the backslidden/backsliding church is too silent about our homes splitting – far too silent. – 1/21/21

“God’s Word declares that a righteous person is like a tree.

A tree lives in two realms of nature; it lives in the earth & it lives above the earth.” – T M Anderson
