Psa 119.105

“Thy word is a lamp unto my feet,

& a light unto my path.”

“Bees don’t fight honey

Christians don’t fight holiness.”

– George B Vernon II

Do not court martyrdom. Never. (Some have, but I see no Scripture to warrant it.) On the other hand, don’t refuse to die for Jesus & His Word (“…Ashamed of me & of my words…”Mar 8.38). Do right, speak truth, live holy, be at peace (“…As much as lieth in you…”Rom 12.18). And – – – if you end up dying for Jesus, it is fine – you’re going to die anyway – what could possibly be better than dying for Christ? – 1/19/21

“Those who believe in the ‘unknown tongue’ certainly have no right to be called ‘Pentecostal’

for the marvel & miracle of Pentecost was that every man heard them speak in his own language.”

– A L Vess

I’d encourage you to start (& if started, to further develop) establishing a High Profile with God – He, of course, is the One (only One) who counts when the “counting” stops. Likewise, I’d encourage you lower your profile (or any desire to have one) with men. The very guys you are most tempted to empress may resign tomorrow – or be dead the next. – 1/21/21

You’re old?

You’re old?  “It’s in your head”

Methuselah might have said,

Who lived nine centuries, sixty-nine.

Your age is a fraction of that line.

His age, though quite large to us,

Was neither a minus nor a plus

To God, our illustrious Ancient of Days,

Who’s lived forever, yet is young – always.

– eab,  1/22/13

Some will do almost anything in order for their name to be remembered, even to the point of wicked deeds – (“Self” can be a hard taskmaster.) Other – Bless their souls – will attempt the difficult, yea, the “impossible” that God’s name may be made known. – 1/22/21

Rev 20.14

“And death & hell were cast into the lake of fire.

This is the second death.”

“Every great spiritual movement begins with the ‘downs-and-outs’

& ends with the ‘ups-and-ins.
– A L Vess

A cooling breeze on a scorching day is so welcome. To hear the genuine chuckle of a toddler is a refreshing. Even a short break with a cold drink, is wonderful. A shared moment of friendly conversation with an old chum can be uplifting. The hope of punching the clock & going home to eat, sounds great. Hell has none of the above. NONE. And damnation drags on – – – & on – – – & on, &…………   -1/22/21

“He sanctified you

to make you a more fruitful Christian.”

– B J Walker
