Psa 122.1
“I was glad when they said unto me,
Let us go into the house of the LORD.”
“I went a friend’s house last night & looked at TV. God convicted me
with Psalm 119:37 ‘Turn away mine eyes from beholding vanity.’”
– Jim Elliott – Reminder, Jim was not a holiness man
What A Relationship! Almighty God is Friends with weak humans. The Eternal Being cares about short-lived man. The Holiest of Holy Ones deigns to fellowship with souls redeemed from un-holiness. The Prince of the Upper World & the purified pauper of this world love each other, enjoy being in the same room, & have a similar interest (both in passing time & timeless eternity). O, the Wonder of God & His Grace. Praise the Lord, F.o.r.e.v.e.r! 1/24/21
“In the age of television,
image becomes more important than substance.”
– S I Hayakawa, another non-holiness man, US Senator
That show/movie/entertainment you & your family watch – how does it match with Paul’s (Php 4.8) test?
1.) Whatsoever things are true 2.) Whatsoever things are honest 3.) Whatsoever things are just
4.) Whatsoever things are pure 5.) Whatsoever things are lovely 6.) Whatsoever things are of good report;
A.] If there be any virtue, & B.] If there be any praise – think on these things. Be man enough can the trash. – 1/24/21
Collect Truth
Some collect things that are free
They fell from the sky
They fell from a tree
They were found by the sea
Others invest in what they collect
Truth. Buy it. Collect it. Never it neglect.

It’s easy to imagine that a number of ancient king’s sons peered over the castle wall, saw a pretty peasant girl, eventually came down from the castle & married her. *Romantic.* The Son of God looked “down from Heaven” saw ugly peasants, dirty in sinful habits, felt sorry, came down from Heaven & died for us. *Redemption.* Both “nice” stories – the first not so important, the second, our only hope for eternal life. Thank you, Jesus! – 1/24/21
Php 4.8
“…Whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just,
whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report;
if there be any virtue, & if there be any praise, think on these things.”
“Sanctification…is a way of childlike faith that receives all God has to give & of perfect love that joyfully gives all back to God, a way that keeps the soul from Laodicean sloth & ease on the one hand & from hard, cold Pharisaical bondage on the other…”
– Samuel L Brengle
Children entertain themselves coloring their coloring-books. Childish big folks entertain themselves “coloring their looks.” Eventually coloring-books stop. Eventually coloring eyes, lips, hair, & nails also stop. Please stop it now & let the light of Jesus better shine. You WILL stop at death but then it’ll be too late to ask God to forgive you for messing up the complexion He gave you. – 1/24/21
“Victory always comes where a man, having poured out his heart in prayer, dares to trust God & express his faith in praise.”
– Samuel L Brengle
