Gen 6.8 +

Gen 6.8

“But Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD.”

“God is the source of all spiritual power & should be sought for constantly in two ways

– by meditation in His word & by secret prayer…”

– Samuel L Brengle

Raised bed garden.  (Fill bottom with old stick, grass clippings, wood ash, or poorer dirt)

Build frames from 2×4’s with roofing (new or used) inside so the dirt & water doesn’t rot the wood.

You can use new (or used) cement blocks, if shaded, so plants get too hot from the sun.

Bricks can also be used – arrange for long rods to drop from hole to hole (inside bricks) so keep upright. Use the stone you have free from your hillside or to clear up an empty near-by lot. – 2/15/21

“To murmur & repine is natural, to give thanks – to really give thanks – is supernatural,

is gracious, is a spirit not earth-born, but comes down from God out of Heaven.”

– Samuel L Brengle

Raised bed garden. (Fill bottom with old stick, grass clippings, wood ash, or poorer dirt)

Stack RR ties for sides/ends – make sure to have heavy plastic so plant roots don’t grow into ties.

Buy horse or cow watering troughs or other metal containers to hold dirt & retain the plant water.

Get 5gal buckets from a commercial painter, arrange 4wide by 6-8long plant inside “wall” & put a plant

into each cleanout bucket. Use 2×4 frame as an outside-band at the top or fasten bucket to bucket. – 2/15/21

Alive or dead

Many a man appears to live,

Who in his heart is dead.

He, in HIS “garden” ate the fruit

Contrary to what God said.

His skin has the color of life;

His soul looks and feels as lead

And if unrepentant for his sin,

In hell he will “make his bed.”

Please, dear fellow traveler toward heaven, Stop being impressed by mere words. Pat Boone knew in the 50’s that “Words are easy to be spoken…” but it seems some evangelicals/holiness people are fooled. A speaker, a writer, says words & “Oh, are WE impressed!” Stop that. Look at his life, look at his wife, look at his theological “strife.” Yes, I agree, a man may have a mistaken theology &/or a backslidden wife but if his LIFE doesn’t match his words stop listening to him. Don’t buy his book or walk across a street to hear him. Christ said, “For every tree is known by his own fruit…”(Luk 6.44). – 2/16/21

Mat 3.10

“…The axe is laid unto the root of the trees: therefore

every tree which bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down & cast into the fire.”

“What one does well one learns to enjoy,

& what one enjoys one is sure to do well.”

– Andrew W Blackwood

We are headed (IMO) into a storm. If you follow Jesus’ footprints you can get through – either victorious (tho’ perhaps solemnly so) on earth, or with the Ultimate Victory of stepping onto heaven’s home-shore. We’ve never faced such – allow suggests: 1.) Don’t make loud statements “I’ll do X, Y” or “I’ll never to Z” save breath for when you’ll need strength, 2.) Read the Bible more, in quantity AND Quality (stop reading/watching secular chaff), 3.) Memorize parts of classic KJV, 4.) Download ideas: gardening, cooking without electric, making home warmer if fuel’s limited. Waste not – want not. – 2/16/21

“I challenge the doctrine now being taught that we must enter into a mad rivalry with the Old World in the building of battleships, the doctrine that the only way to preserve peace is to get ready for wars that ought never to come!”

– Wm J Bryan
