Heb 1.1

“God, who at sundry times & in divers manners

spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,”

As a teacher, turned pastor, turned S.M. “preacher,” I urge you to read/study the Bible every day. Please have also a daily time of prayer (or 2, 3) “Evening & morning & at noon, will I pray”…(Psa 55.17). Warning – Bible reading/study & prayer can become routine. The Holy Spirit needs to help us get beyond form & truly Worship. (I need help here, as well.) Slow down – & tell Jesus, “I Love You.” Recall His great faithfulness. Enjoy the Joy of God’s presence. Rejoice in Him. WORSHIP. – 8/13/21

I want “nothing but love” in my heart toward every individual I know. When I see changed life-styles it makes it a little harder. When I see words/attitudes expressed in person or on social media I at times pray “Lord, give me nothing but love.” Oh, how I wish you’d re-consider the sliding which appears. No sinful habit, no amount of salary boost, no position of religious acclaim is worth you leaving the narrow road. The broad way Dear Friend, leads to Destruction. More horrible than you imagine. – 8/22/21

GREEN BLUE

Lord Jesus, draw me closer and closer to You

Till it’s an easy step from earth’s green to heaven’s blue,

From earth’s brown paths to yon street of gold,

To the Greatest of great Shepherds, to Your eternal fold.

Daily, I pray Thee, my resolve and strength, renew.

Do YOU believe there is a literal, burning, sulfuric, dark, waterless HELL? Can YOU believe you worked with, lived beside, were related to someone who is now in the regions of the damned? Do YOU understand they once roller-skated with you, rode the same bus, or sat on the same pews and now remember their opportunities to pray but it’s forever too late? Preachers are too silent about hell. – 8/23/21

Heb 2.1

“…We ought to give the more earnest heed to the things which we have heard,

lest at any time we should let them slip.”

So many youth raised in homes where holiness was professed, failed to take the holy way. It is simplistic to suggest this was because of “A, B, or C” & yet for the sake of those who children are still home allow this: A.) Some professed “holiness homes” were a front: there were explosions behind locked doors. B.) Some homes may’ve been OK but the child saw hypocrisy at church & over-reacted. C.) Some youth wanted to world (or worldly church) more than they wanted God & His holiness. – 8/25/21
