Pretend a man-on-the-street asks you how you feel about the Bible. Do you respect It __ ?  Do you like It __ ?  Do you love  It __ ?  And, you can’t “X” all three – just one. If you placed an “X” for *respect you’d join millions. If you placed an “X” for *like, the number would diminish (IMO). If you were so bold as to “X” the space __ after *love you’d be in the right crowd. Now – – – one more question; how much time (on average) do you spend a day with the Bible? Enough to PROVE you *love It? – 9/6/21

We humans tend to trust something when it’s a “member” of a group. We’ve liked it (too much?) when our bank is a member of FDIC, when our school is “accredited” (for what that’s worth), when our work is “unionized” (I paid dues for 6+ yrs & never ask a favor), when our church is a part of a denomination. Please rethink this group-think. Some of these organizations may be the ruination of our local, wholesome entity. A day-by-day trust in the Almighty far exceeds any man-made collectiveness. – 9/14/21

Do you think? Do you think below the surface? Would you like to think? An area I’m currently thinking on (not finished) is the Conflict between the modern use of images & the ancient use of words. Images have multiplied (make that Exploded) in the last century or two. Words, to many youth (& some not young) have taken a distinct “back seat.” They’re grasping for more pics, motion pics, cartoons & these in church, camp, VBS, school where God’s Eternal Word should be KING. Pics are fleeting. – 9/14/21
