Jam 1.15
“Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin:
& sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.”
“The Refiner is never far
from the mouth of the furnace when His gold is in the fire.”
– Charles Spurgeon
Have you miss-used your memory? Too many young men (& some not so young) know the batting average or yds run by “X.” How frivolous. Too many women know too much about hair coloring techniques or what color to place on their lips to look good (but not look like lipstick). How trivial. When you meet God – Yes. We. All. Meet. Him. – What excuse will you & I give for not knowing MORE of His Eternal Book? That, friend, is more serious than too many of us think. – 9/16/21
“Learn to say No.
It will be of more use to you than to be able to read Latin.”
– Charles Spurgeon
Dad/Mom do not discuss the faults of the pastor or his wife, the leading church member or his wife, in front of your child. Their faults may be glaring. They may be so obvious your think your child has already seen them but – but they may not have. The very one who “bugs” you the most at church may be the one who can help Johnny/Suzie. But if you destroy their confidence in them, that may never happen. Besides – the pastor etc. may have seen *your fault.* “Do unto others…” – 9/17/21
SO SIMILIAR
Some men have lived in great wealth;
Others have known the empty shelf.
Their lives seemed miles and miles apart.
But death came to the mighty rich,
Likewise death to the poor in his ditch.
They are sooo alike; with an un-pumping heart.

Do you go to the best church YOU can? Some have to walk to church – they’re very limited. Some can only drive so far (health, age, gas $) – they’re limited. If you have God’s Spirit & that little man across the church who weeps as he testifies has the Spirit, friend, you’re blessed. If a sister quietly (or with shouts) walks the aisles your church is blessed. Do people in whom you’ve confidence raise their hands. You’re again blessed. Go back, go often to the church where the Holy Ghost is welcome. – 9/18/21
“Unless I had the spirit of prayer,
I could do nothing.”
– Charles Finney
Heb 2.15
“And deliver them who through fear of death
were all their lifetime subject to bondage.”
The Hebrew writer penned “And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage”(2.15). Be saved from all your sins. Be filled with the Holy Ghost. Now as you live faithfully for Christ, this verse fits YOU. There are many who can be blackmailed, be forced to do someone’s dirty-work, be forced to take “mediation” or do a job, or even kill others, because they are afraid to die. The saint can’t be forced to do wrong. He is above this. Praise the Lord. – 9/19/21
“A revival is nothing else than a new beginning
of obedience to God.”
– Charles Finney
