Isa 5.20 +

Isa 5.20

“Woe unto them that call evil good & good evil; that put darkness for light,

& light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet & sweet for bitter!”

“Following Christ is a hard task.

It is a warfare.

– Wilfred Grenfell, MD (Brit. Missionary to Canada)

Home schooling is VERY important. It is more important than you, Mom, keeping a perfectly clean house. BTW teaching your child how to dust, sweep, mop & otherwise clean can be a PART of their schooling. Your shop, Dad, may be messing – home schooling is more important then perfect order but again teaching youngsters to use a tool & PUT IT BACK is a rightful part of schooling. Cleaning up after themselves also fits; whether in the kitchen, garage, barn or basement. – 1/24/22

“The Shunammite woman didn’t say ‘I perceive that this is a famous man of God

or popular or brilliant or successful man of God.’  She said a ‘holy’ man of God.”

– Vance Havner

Mentioning home schooling – what better place for children to learn about liquid measures & dry than in the kitchen helping Mom fix breakfast, lunch or even supper. Teaspoons? Yes. Tablespoons? Yes. Ounces? Yes. Cups? Yes. And once the meal is about to be served don’t just plop a knife, fork & spoon in the table, teach the child the right place for each & the napkin as well. Once a month serve a more formal meal (with their help) & teach them where to place a 2nd fork, a 2nd spoon. Schooling! – 1/24/22

mutual Savior

The most recent residents walking heaven’s golden street

Aren’t rejoicing that their opinions were “exactly” right;

Nor gathered in theological clusters to peers greet

Who shared their earthly degree of religious “light.”

Much of life’s views are, with little doubt, all forgotten

As they adorn their mutual Savior, God’s only Begotten.

God tells your hair to grow. You, willful woman, cut it, in effective telling God “No.” He allows it to grow more & you cut it off more. This continues until you die (unless you surrender to God first) & you’re ushered into His presence. How do you think you’ll feel – meeting the One to Whom you said “No” every time you cut it yourself or went to hair dresser. Will God be happy with? Will you be able to lift your eyes to the One to whom you repeatedly rebelled? I think not. NOW, sister is the time to stop. – 1/26/22

1Co 11.15

“But if a woman have long hair, it is a glory to her:

for her hair is given her for a covering.”

“[Hair] the most defined standard

in the Bible.”

– Ken Thompson

It’s simpler for the unsanctified pastor to schedule a “revival” which he can control, than it is for him to pray, gather others around him who’ll earnestly pray, & then all submit to the Holy Ghost that He come in a mighty awakening. “After all, the church calendar: birthday events, anniversary celebrations, ball games, (dare I continue & say “easter egg hunt?) must go on.” No. They do not. O, for an awakening across America. We need You, Lord. – 1/26/22

“They [some Corinthian Christians] were carnal

not sanctified but they spake in tongues.”

– A L Vess
