JOY
A near tree in shades of grayish-brown
Far trees dressed in summer’s green gown,
A quiet, damp July cool morn
Without screech of steel or blare of horn.
Lord’s Day – that most special of days
Set aside from commerce or hot labor ways
Breakfast over – a pleasant sweet repast
A maroon recliner made for decades to last.
A “visit” with a prophet: major, Minor, Amos
Speaking things which didn’t make him famous.

Given a century (more or less) every relative you have will be in Heaven or Hell. The “nice” neighbor you really like & the one who tries your patience will be Above or Below. All faces you see on fb (other social media), all faces you see at a store/gas station, all faces you see at church will be forever Joyful or forever Sad (wishing they’d “never been born”). This is not fun to read. Nor is pleasant to type but Brother/Sister, we need to see reality. Life Is Short. “…Prepare to meet thy God…”(Amo 4.12) – 7/12/22

God can use the un-schooled man (& has many times) When. He. Is. Holy. A man may see his need of being sanctified, be unwilling to Fully Surrender & yet want (“thinks” he does) God to use him. What does he do? At times, thank God, he may wisely re-consider & become sanctified holy. The lesser man may take the easier route – Education. There’s such a danger that Degrees end up as substitutes (poor ones) for “holiness of heart.” >> Church needing a pastor << – – – do not call the unsanctified. – 7/13/22

LOVE NOT THE WORLD – Some love the World’s Music. They adore “pickin’ & grinnin” – If the Holy Ghost lays His hand on it – cast it from you! Others like “Big Band Sound.” When the Spirit says “no” to this, you say “yes” to Him. Never listen to it again. Some crave “rink-a-dink” (yes, even in “holiness” meetings) – you may have to die out to fast music to please God. To a saint WORDS are far more important than “notes.” Heaven may well have music, but it WILL NOT BE THIS WORLD’S TRASH. – 7/17/22
