IMAGE 4. There is, as many can witness, SIN in addiction to images. There is a wonderful alternative to vile imagery – – – Pure Words. Few Christians are hearing in their pulpits the contrast between the world of corrupt pictures & the Word of Christ. Too few see the great contest, the big battle, is between Image & Word. satan (as “the prince of the power of the air” Eph 2.2) is cramming deadly images into minds as fast as he can. Christ is offering His Live-giving Words. We decide if we obey satan or Jesus. – 9/25/22

Hunting #3. Hunting provides a quiet time in the woods. God is not in a hurry – He has as long as He needs to change the color of leaves, to bring the nuts overhead to fruition & allow them to plummet earthward. Allow yourself to s-l-o-w down, to listen to the squirrel cutting or chattering, to watch a lone bird (or pair thereof) feed & fly. Worship God out there – no, don’t for a moment worship “nature” – adore the Creator of all beside you, below you (from your tree stand), & above you. Enjoy. – 9/29/22

TWO DIRECTIONS 3. The nature (it seems) of compromise is to try to get others to join their downward slide; to win “converts” to the easy road. They don’t have to dress so carefully, don’t have to be separate from the world in hair (male or female), in jewelry. etc. It is best – unless the Spirit leads you AND you know it’s God – not to raise discussion on their new “freedom.” You pray. You be joyful. You show a love (not the same as “approval”!) toward them. Socialize where possible – then stop. – 9/29/22

Worship has GOD at its center (house church, steeple house, or a woodsy /fieldsy outdoor spot). God is the predominate Person at the beginning, in the middle of the “service” & at the dismissal. Is God the Center – – – be honest – – – of your place/ time of worship? By contrast, entertainment has a far different center – You! You can’t be the center (be you preacher, singer, or trumpet tooter) of worship – if you’re center, God is not. If God is center, you’re not. It’s that simple. – Oct. 2022
