Psa 8.5 +

Psa 8.5

“For thou hast made him a little lower than the angels

& hast crowned him with glory & honor.”

“…Self — the most popular of all the false gods…”

– Wm Jennings Bryan

IMAGE 5.  Ask God to help you see how much images have infiltrated your home: toys, clothing, poster in bedroom. Now look at your “christian” school: its bulletin boards, its teachers clothing (on casual days) the skits it allows. More? Ok. Look around your child’s Sunday School rm. Visit “junior church” (probably misnamed) – what images from hollywood/disney are even in your church? Look, really look at the bulletin board, or weekly hand-out. Is satan’s imagery showing up? Look. Think. – 9/25/22

“There is more science in the twenty-fourth verse of the first chapter of Genesis

…than in all Darwin wrote.

– Wm Jennings Bryan

fatal push

Sports have added to hell’s role,

If nothing else, thru pride alone.

Many a parent/child has lost their soul

Proud of points in the end zone.

The desire to see their name in print

Has driven souls to the fatal push.

Looking back from hell’s long, lone “sprint”

“Out sports – vanish!” That’s their wish.

Hunting #4. If you’re not a Christian, there are few better places than God’s woods to pray & believe your sins forgiven. If you’re a saint, take an old Bible or NT with you to the woods. Place It in a rainproof bag (a lot of hunters get rained on J) but take it. Also have a pin & a straight edge (old credit cards work) to mark a favorite passage. Woods & the Word; they have the same Maker. They go well together. What insights God may give you as you await the coming of the game. – 9/29/22

“What shall it profit a man if he shall gain all the learning

of the schools and lose his faith in God?”

– Wm Jennings Bryan

TWO DIRECTIONS 4. Circumstances may force you to attending what they call “church” with a compromising relative. Don’t feel obligated to sing their contemporary “songs” (too often a splash of words without poetry & worse, without poetical depth). If need be close your eyes & pray that Blind Eyes Might See. If their “pastor” reads (or flashes on a screen) some modern translation, don’t let it pollute your mind. If need be, read your Classic KJV during worst parts of “service.” (May God give grace.) – 9/29/22

Mat 6.24

“No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one & love the other;

or else he will hold to the one & despise the other. Ye cannot serve God & mammon.”

In eternity, God (excuse the frailty of human thought) will retain ALL of His “every-where-ness.” We, (I’m guessing) will retain our “one-place-at-a-time-ness.” We (again saying more than I know) may “travel” at the speed of thought [first heard this idea from former pastor, J D Webb, Sr.] without noise, without fear of falling, & speed to anyplace, anytime. Note: some of this is not important theologically, just sort-a-fun to speculate a little about heaven (inspired by a pleasant dream). – 10/5/22

“…The worship of the intellect — an idolatry as deadly

to spiritual progress as the worship of images…”

– Wm Jennings Bryan
