If a word – regardless of what the “word” is – is not in the Bible (I speak of the Classic Authorized) it’s fair to examine *said word. Is it automatically wrong to use? Not necessarily. Men have added modern words (mechanical, medical, etc.) but the fact that “word” is not included (IMO) opens it to questioning. “What’s the point?” Christians use (thoughtlessly, perhaps?) “universe” (from Latin & Cicero). God’s Word uses “Heaven and Earth” (over 30 times). I like God’s words better than Cicero’s – 10/10/22

HYMNS. 1. The first hymns were Psalms (as I understand). Later a few men/women began to write verses speaking the deep struggles & high hopes of their walk with God. Some of these began to be sung in their house of worship. Later a man (poet or at least a man who appreciated poetry) collected these lines of verse. Some of the early “hymnals” mere where multiplied pages of poems without one note of music. This is strange to the modern mind, but they held the meat of songful worship. – 10/17/22

Do not allow satan the slightest foothold in your home. This means, among several things, avoiding devilish “halloween” with any of its hideous trappings. Your house should have no sheets hanging from trees (supposed ghost), no “skeletons” resting on you porch, no huge “spider” & its pretend “web” on shrubbery, no jack-o-lantern (why would you waste a good pumpkin?), no witch “splattered” into an electric pole. Please, even if you are not YET a christian avoid such satanic connections. – 10/24/22
