Psa 27.1 +

Psa 27.1

“The LORD is my light & my salvation; whom shall I fear?

The LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?”

“Some wish to live within the sound of Church or Chapel bell;

I want to run a Rescue Shop within a yard of hell.”

There’s a difference between being nice to, speaking kindly to, & becoming “Buddy-Buddy with.” We’re to love enemies but that doesn’t mean we lower standards of dress or conduct to make them “comfortable.” Nor go with them to places of ill repute. When you see “holiness preacher” BFF with a man who used-to-be holiness, do NOT hire him as pastor or evangelist. When a “holiness preacher” is encouraging a man to go left, to teach/preach/publish in leftish circles, avoid him. He is dangerous. – August 2022

If Jesus Christ be God & died for me,

then no sacrifice can be too great for me to make for Him.”

HYMNS 2. Hymns by their very nature are songs. Allow me to remind you, they’re the Best, the very BEST songs of all. Period. Why? Because they’re about HIM (not exactly a “play-on-words” but their sound tends to pull them together). When we stop singing about HIM we move downward. Any subject less than God the Father, God the Son, & God the Holy Ghost is a step down. A pastor or song-leader who’s leading a church away from Hymns is leading them wrong. Please, come back to HIM. – 10/17/22

Enjoy it once more

Enjoy what?

The rich forest floor.

Richness in the woods?

Oh, yes, it has all kinds of “goods”

But I digress from the store

Found – this is so neat

Riches at the walker’s feet

Look. See that leaf is crimson

(a tint so very winsome).

That next is gold in color

Note a brown one & this other.

But richness is not confined to tones

(Tones of tints that is);

There is the audio tone – the sound

Of the leave as it found the ground.

Love the rustle of the leaves as they fall.

Fall is the greatest season of them all.

Enjoy something every DAY. Do not wait for “x” (birthday, anniversary, a holiday, vacation, day off) to be joyful – be full of joy THIS DAY. I’m not fond of the word “celebrate” (maybe I see it over-used) but let me use it here. Celebrate the flavor of the breakfast food (even if it came out of a box). Celebrate the way the sun came through the window (or if it’s rainy enjoy the slant & rhythm it has). Celebrate the nice walk or drive to work. Enjoy a conversation. Live Life! Thank God for e.v.e.r.y. day – 10/25/22

1Co 2.14

“…The natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

“What is it worth to possess the riches of the world,

when a man comes to face Eternity?”

– C T Studd

FALSE #1 Has God given you discernment? If Yes, thank Him. If No, ask Him for it. Caution – I wouldn’t ask God for full-fledged discernment – that could be a heavy load. But you need the amount of Holy Insight He wants you to have. Do NOT take it lightly that the NT speaks of False apostles (twice), False brethren (twice), False Christs (1 time), False prophets (7 times), & False teachers (once). It’s very possible that you know or are under the influence from a modern-day False prophet/teacher. Watch Out. – 10/26/22

Only what’s done for Christ will last.”
