Psa 37.5 +

Psa 37.5

“Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him

& he shall bring it to pass.”

“Faith justifies

not as a work,

nor as a quality,

nor as knowledge,

but as assent of the will and

firm confidence in the mercy of God.”

– Martin Luther

SCHOOLING at HOME – GRAMMAR  If you are like many of us, you need help in grammar & therefore need help in teaching it to your child.  As a Christian I encourage you to pray about this. It is important for your child to grasp the basic “building blocks” of his language. If ON THE OTHER hand you have a grasp (even if it’s just a part here or a bit there) please consider posting Grammar Helps on fb or other social media. “…The devil’s cunning…if he cannot hurt by persecuting & destroying,

he doth it under color of correcting & building up.

– Martin Luther

WIND IN ROCKY PINES

Wind can whisper the slightest sound [1]

Wind can sing as it floats around

Wind can shout in bursts of noise

Or shout like angry, arguing boys.

PAST TENSE

Once he was saved, once he had no doubt

Jesus was inside, satan was without.

But sin & self drug him back to “the before.”

He knew Jesus – but knows Him no more.

Some hearts (even some raised in solid, Christian homes, sadly) want the world. God honors the Free Will (which He created) & allows a rebel heart to “enjoy” the world for X yrs, months & then the world ends (for that soul). BTW – every soul going Heaven-ward is happy to flee the corrupt world BUT every soul in hell would love to return to this world (here is where they could have repeated & didn’t). The hearts that Want God get to have Him Here & Hereafter forever. Come back, rebel, Please come back. – 10/29/22

“…Where the fear of God is not,

there can be no thirsting for grace or life.”

– Martin Luther

GOD’S MEN #1. Paul, writing under Holy inspiration spoke of 5 categories of ministers: 1.) Apostles  2.) Prophets  3.) Evangelists  4.) Pastors  5.) Teachers. These are (IMO) arranged in descending order. I doubt anyone alive who can correctly be called “Apostle” (flee the guy who calls himself one). It’s been my privilege to have been a student of one or more great men. I have also been a peer (albeit much younger) of some more great men. I question I’ve known a man worthy of the Title Apostle. – 10/30/22

2Co 4.2

“But have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty,

not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully…”

Preacher Brother, it’s not your job to bring in singing groups (“big name” or PR) for people to be entertained. Nor is it your job to provide worldly, rainbow-colored Daily Vacation Bible Schools nor ball teams. Nor Brother is it your job to start your sermon off with jokes or have a funny story (you’d call it an “illustration” middle-sermon). Preach the WORD. Let it not be said (at your funeral) “he was the funniest preacher I ever heard” but rather “He handled Bible Truth with care.” – 10/31/22

“…Where the Holy Ghost dwelleth,

he will not suffer a man to be idle.  ”
