Psa 51.10
“Create in me a clean heart, O God;
& renew a right spirit within me.”
“Unless the leader is especially prepared
the prayer meetings will dwindle.”
– Charles G Finney
Home schooling? #1. Good. May God give you wisdom. And – may you keep both eyes & ears open for a tip here & an idea there. Look for ways to teach two “subjects” together (for a week or more). Seek a method that makes it easier for you to *understand “X” topic & therefore will make it easier for Jr. to *understand it. [BTW it is not a shame to learn some detail in a certain field at the same time your child does, but generally you teach it better if YOU understand it better first.] Blessings. – 9/27/22
“Prayer meetings are the most difficult meetings to sustain
because they are the most spiritual meetings of the church.”
– Charles G Finney
DOUBT vs. FAITH
“Seas don’t part on their own
Allowing tribes to pass in a dry zone.”
But one sea did – we call it the Red.
I believe the Words the Good Book said.
“Well, I don’t believe three men came
Out of a furnace & still smelled the same.”
It’s up to you, Friend, what you believe
Faith is the only way to salvation receive.
“Men don’t survive a lion’s den.”
One did – and I can tell you when
Darius was king (Daniel, 6th chapter)
His enemies did not, a little after
Gotcha. “It’s appointed unto man once to die…
And the Bible, you say, doesn’t lie.”
Enoch & Elijah were God’s shining exceptions
Oh, Don’t be guilty of un-holy rejections.
5000 men enjoyed a full brunch
From a lad’s home-packed lunch
Seated in the grass & clover(?)
Fish & loves were even left-over.
“You really believe Jesus rose from the grave?
That Jews & soldiers were so “brave”
To kill your ‘Son of man?’”
Yes, it was all according to God’s plan.
“All men have an earthly mom.”
Adam (& Eve) did not
Believe the Bible’s exceptions
Don’t fall into the “doubter plot.”
“Men don’t walk on water.”
(unless its solid, frozen as ice)
Well, one man did, Peter by name
Biblical exceptions are truly nice.
“A boat doesn’t from mid-lake
Immediately go to the coastal land.”
A boat with Christ & disciples did
Believe the Bible truth rare & grand.
“Animals don’t come walking two-by-two
Nor climb the gang-plank to some ark.”
They did for Noah – well – some flew
The ravens, the doves, the lark.
“Fire doesn’t fall from the sky.”
It did at Sodom a long time ago
And it will again bye-n-bye
God’s Good Book says so!
“One man can stop dew and rain
For three years and half?”
Yes, Elijah prayed far above the plain
Ahab now has no smile, no laugh.
“Iron just doesn’t float to the top.”
It does it God arranges it so
Bring doubting, Friend to a stop.
Make faith your new path. Now GO!

Do you STUDY the Bible? If I were to pick up your Book would I find It marked? Get a small plastic ruler or out-of-date card & leave it in His Word. You can use it to neatly underline a word (or group of words). You can also make a tiny ◦ or * by this idea & another ◦ or * by a matching thought (especially if they occur on the same or facing pages). Of course use 1.) 2.) & 3.) for serial concepts or A.) B.) & C.). Use the side margins or extra space at top or bottom of pages for notes. STUDY the GOOD BOOK! – 11/7/22
“The reason why wicked men & devils hate God is, because they see Him in relation to themselves.
Their hearts rise up in rebellion, because they see Him opposed to their selfishness.”
– Charles G Finney
1st Timothy 6.20 #3. In God’s 1st reference to the sun *by itself (1.16) it is “…the greater light.” This follows His statement about the sun & moon as “TWO GREAT LIGHTS” (emphasis-eab). Man’s “science falsely so called” (1Ti 6.20) has tried to convince pupils (& gullible parents) that the moon is a mere reflector – that it’s simply reflecting the light of the sun. This LIE makes “sun worship” easier. It *raises the importance of the sun & *lowers the importance of the moon. “Reflector” is not true! – 11/7/22
Gen 1.16
“And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day
& the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also.”
Too many people want credit for what they do. [Maybe that should be caps *CREDIT* & adorned with asterisks. J] They want you & You & YOU to know “I did X. Yes, Sir, that was ALL my idea.” I’m not suggesting its wrong to Thank people – its a crack-bang-idea. I’m all for saying “Thank You” (& meaning it) but allow a reminder. God has a perfect record of all your “good deeds.” If you’re living to go UP, He can reward (as He sees fit) in the wonderful Afterlife. Stop seeking “credit” here. – 11/9/22
“Unless the will is free, man has no freedom & if he has no freedom he is not a moral agent,
that is, he is incapable of moral action & also of moral character”
– Charles G Finney
