Psa 103.2 – 3 +

Psa 103.2-3

“Bless the LORD, O my soul & forget not all his benefits:

“Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases;”

1. “I gave My life for thee, My precious blood I shed,
That thou might ransomed be, and raised up from the dead
I gave, I gave My life for thee, what hast thou given for Me?”

SURVIVE #4.(con’t from days ago)  Hopefully you can walk toward other humans. If you’re near water follow it down stream. (Never go up stream.) Go down & when your creek joins a larger creek (Y) go down stream with it. The same is true if you’re in hills with logging roads. Follow an arm of Y to where it joins the main down leg & then go down the Y. Water (& logging roads) lead you toward civilization. “The humans may not be friendly.” True. Pray & put your trust in the Lord. – 12/8/22

2. “My Father’s house of light, My glory circled throne
I left for earthly night, for wanderings sad and lone;
I left, I left it all for thee, hast thou left aught for Me?”

Sadly, the deceiver & his deception

Have received wide-armed reception

From the sinning inhabitants of earth.

He deceives in school, state & church

At work, in so-called scientific “research”

And in sports, films & places of mirth.

Men would rather laugh out loud

In the wild, worldly, wicked crowd

As at an altar weep & seek

Truth, which would cause them to mourn

And thus renounce satan’s cursed horn

When they receive of hell a mere peek.

The worst deception is you lying to “you.”

And then believing your *own lie is true.

Flee, friend, flee deception’s zone.

Seek Truth – Jesus is that & more

Let Truth in thru your stiff heart’s door

Christ can make you one of His very own.

WHY THE RING? #4. “Oh Bryan, you know the purpose of a wedding ring.” Look at the sinner men who have none: even some Presidents (tho married) didn’t wear a ring. AND some guys with bands have been Big-Time adulterers. Some who married without rings, thought rings might save a wobbly marriage, yet they ended in divorce court. I hope you know couple married 30-50 yrs who’ve never worn rings. My wife & I haven’t needed such in our 61+ yrs. Nor. Do. You. It is a fad. – 11/30/22

3. “I suffered much for thee, more than thy tongue can tell,
Of bitterest agony, to rescue thee from hell.
I’ve borne, I’ve borne it all for thee, what hast thou borne for Me?”
Frances Ridley Havergal

Train up a child. #1  “Train up a child in the way he should go…”(Pro 22.6) – many Christians have *correctly* seen this in spiritual terms. Amen. Praise the Lord. Read God’s Word to them BEFORE they can read. Have them join you reading around the circle in Family Altar as soon as they do read. (If there are older siblings, let they be strictly instructed not to laugh at the beginning reader’s mis-pronunciation.) Training also involves teaching/leading them to “Talk to God.” – 11/30/22

Joel 1.12

“The vine is dried up & the fig tree languisheth; the pomegranate tree, the palm tree also

& the apple tree, even all the trees of the field, are withered: because joy is withered away from the sons of men.”

Home school #1. Home schoolers worry about teaching what’s called higher math. Please do not.

Teach your son/daughter Botany. Too few people can identify simple trees: Ash, Birch, Elm, Magnolia, Maples (there’re several), Oaks (see varieties within both Red & White), Poplar, Sycamore, Willow etc.

Teach children a variety of nut trees: Beechnut, Burr oak, Butternut, Chestnut, Hickory, Pecan, Walnut.

And they should know: Apricot, Apple, Cherry, Peach, Pear, Paw Paw, Persimmon, Plum trees by sight.

If living/traveling in south know: Fig, Grapefruit, Lemon, Lime, Mango, Orange, Tangerine trees. – 12/7/22

4. “And I have brought to thee, down from My home above,
Salvation full and free, My pardon and My love;
I bring, I bring rich gifts to thee, what hast thou brought to Me?”
