Gal 4.4

“But when the fullness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son,

made of a woman, made under the law,”

“…Be always ready to own any fault

you have been in,”

– John Wesley, quoted by R S Foster

FIRST WORK. There’s a Work of Grace called Salvation. Thank God. This is also called the New Birth or being “Born Again.” It is the introductory step into Christianity provided by Christ, its Wonderful Founder. Many religions allow (even encourage) a degree of reformation but only the Blood of Jesus Christ makes it possible to become a New Creature. One is Born into the Family of God – it’s the only way IN. Do you, Friend live above sin? (Saints don’t sin, 1Jo 3.6.) Have you been Born Again? – 3/22/23

“You can live without holiness here

— you cannot hereafter.”

– R S Foster

SECOND WORK. As one walks in his light after he’s been Born Again, he’ll see that there IS another Work of Grace, labeled Sanctification. Holiness (another name for this experience) is entered by dying out to self – negatives as carnal anger, jealousy, pride, etc. – & allowing the Holy Ghost to remove them. With these (& other filth removed) the Spirit can now fill him with Love, Joy, Peace, Longsuffering, Gentleness, Goodness, Faith, Meekness, Temperance. Have ye received the Holy Ghost? – 3/22/23

WONDERFUL CHRIST

Christ is in the middle of the Trinity.

Christ’s life is in the middle of History.

Christ’s cross was in the middle of Calvary.

– eab, 3/24/18

NEW IDEA. I’m at heart a teacher – may I tell you something? You see a post you don’t like: you CAN:  1.) Silently pass it by. [This is part of my life; I see so much compromise.]  2.) Write opposing it with Vigor. [There’s danger in knee-jerk reactions.]  3.) Decide to turn this idea over in your mind; old-timers might have said “sleep on it.” Just because you’ve never heard of such does NOT mean it’s wrong. Or because your pastor/christian sch. taught the opposite, does Not mean they were Biblical. – 3/24/23

1Jo 1.9

“If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins

& to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”

“The value of holiness. Its presence is life

– its absence is eternal death.”

– R S Foster

NEW IDEA (con’t.) #3 [above] is a good idea; turn it over in your mind. It could have weight tomorrow which it didn’t seem to have today. Bryan (or some other soul) writing truth might be right. Imagine. J

But Once – hear this – Once you’ve “spilled your guts” vigorously OPPOSING x, it’ll be hard to come on fb the next day & say “I was wrong.” Too few of us have the backbone to change after we’ve spouted an opposition. Better not slam an idea until you “sleep on it. “I was wrong” is hard to say. – 3/24/23

“Sin committed & depravity felt

are very different.”

– R S Foster
