Stuart Hamblen was born 10/20/1908, in TX, son of Methodist preacher. In ‘45, Stuart was the first to fly a horse – horse racing was forever changed. His “This Ole House” (1954 Song of the Year) was number one song hit in 7 countries at the same time.
In 1952, he ran for President of the US on the Prohibition Party ticket (at their invitation). Stuart was married to his wife, Suzy, for over 55 years and lived with her on their horse ranch in Canyon Country, California.
He also wrote “Until Then” “Open Up Your Heart” “How Big Is God” “His Hands” “Known Only to Him,” “Beyond the Sunset,” and over 200 other songs.
