Beyond + + + +

_Observations_ on “innocent party” 1.) Please notice how many times the “innocent party” is the blood relative. 2.) The term “innocent party” is not in the Bible.  3.) If you allow the idea of an “innocent party” someone has to make decision /who/ is innocent. Who is qualified to make call? 4.) To agree “x” is innocent tends to absolve of any guilt – who, in their right mind believes such “dream-world fluff?”

BEYOND Beginning

The shepherds have returned

To woolly flocks on the hill.

The inn keeper now wishes

He could his small inn fill.

Mary, post-delivery

Is no longer pregnant, nor ill.

The world’s most famous morning now is past.

The wise men have returned

To their studies in the East.

Herod has completed his

Contemplated blood “feast.”

Joseph, Family in Egypt

Are “visitors,” at least.

Jesus is a growing “toddler” at last.

And you, friend, have returned

To living glad, or forlorn.

Returned to shops and streets

Filled with scurry and loud horn.

Remember, remember

Christ for you was gladly born.

Hold to His redeeming love, hold it fast!

God does not want us to be entirely comfortable in this world. (He has a much better place for us.)  When things “go wrong” (break, disappoint, die) don’t yield to temptations of discontentment. God’s allowing us again to look beyond to the heaven He is willing to share f-o-r-e-v-e-r, with mere mortals. Praise God!

“Holiness is a habit of being in one mind with God.”

– Jim Kemp, sermon, 7/11/2004

A relatively small number of men are properly valued by their age. Not a few are overvalued i.e. “They’re selling for more than they’re worth.” By contrast, if we just understood, several men are worth more, perhaps much more, than we peers know.

Joh 10.33

“The Jews answered him, saying, For a good work we stone thee not; but for blasphemy; and because that thou, being a man, makest thyself God.”

Love not the world includes: 1.) its supposed “beauty” in sensual paintings & statues (antique or otherwise), 2.) its show-tune music, even if labeled “classic” (by whose standard?) 3.) its love of “shows,” theaters, ballet (did you actually go see “Nutcracker”?) & 4.) its amusement parks including Disney (& Disney wannabes).
